Memorial Day is not an ordinary holiday
For many, Memorial Day is for grillin' and chillin' with family and friends, but let's take a minute or two to remember the service men and women who never came home. As a veteran, to those who have served and those currently serving, I salute you! Enjoy the day, but don't forget them.

We have a holiday in Australia with exactly the same sentiment. It's called Anzac Day and while we enjoy the day off, it's all about remembering fallen comrades.

Today is also the actual day observed, and not just another Monday holiday.
