What Defines You
What defines you? To get to the root of this answer will be relative to the individual. However, I am sure there are many like myself who have peeled the onion to give an honest, in-depth answer. Like an onion, there are layers such as our environment, economic situation, lifestyle, wants needs, society, and our family that covers our true identity.
A good deal may argue that the combination of what I just listed defines who they are. However, I say that the list blocks one from discovering who they are. I contend that the list are only influences what you have accepted as the definition of who you are. Can such a list like the one I refer to hold your true convictions?
What Defines You
Can it be said you are what you think and eat? Absolutely, a sound body strengthens and helps maintain a sound mind.
However, I contend that this is only true if the thoughts in one's mind come from their inner core-beliefs.
Your inner-beliefs are void of any outside influences. Moreover, it is self-awareness, free-will-thinking and belief in oneself that defines who you are.
That Is you at your core. To let outside influences define who I am, means I am not thinking about my self. If I were to live out my life in such a manner, and being a black person in America, I would be one angry person all day every day. Therefore, I choose to stay positive and think and act on my core beliefs.
I believe in faith, hope and most of all charity. That allows me not to get angry, but to act in such a manner that I focus on solutions. To do anything else would be counterproductive. If you know anything about the "law of attraction" then you know what I mean. The Law of Attraction will not allow one to think negatively.
It Starts From Within
Mother Teresa once said "do not invite me to a protest rally because I will not come. However, invite me to a rally for peace, and I will be there."
See you can change things if you truly believe in what you are doing. Furthermore, your thoughts have to be felt, positive and believed by you. To live by your core beliefs is living, doing otherwise is existing.
As you can see you can find a passion from the law of attraction. Furthermore, with finding your passion, you can discover your destiny.
It has been written that the law of attraction was the "big secret" only known by the elite and dates back to Babylonian times. Well, it is no longer a secret, yet many refuse to recognize or practice the law of attraction. Which I credit to outside influences as well.
If everyone were to discover their destiny, you will find that there is a universal humanitarian connection between us all. Moreover, the connection is to help one another. Moreover, upon the discovery of your destiny, one is obligated to give it back to the masses. The trick in this is that we all will have our unique way of helping one another. When you discover what your destiny is you will find what defines you.

Excellent blog post - thanks for sharing, Maurice! And I am totally onboard with the Law of Attraction.
Also, too often we get wrapped up in the "getting" part of life and forget about the "giving" part. It wasn't always this way though. I think people have gotten more selfish over the past five decades or so.

When I first saw your header image I assumed is was going to be an expounded passage from the bible. You have made it very inclusive. If that were the basis for all of our being, war and discrimination would no longer exist. Risk Taking
You say if like it is impossible. However, heart-action will make it possible. I understand this sounds like an insurmountable task, The same was said about a lot if not all of the innovations we accept and use in our lives.
