Want More? 3 Easy Tips to Grow Your Business Online
Do you feel stuck in a rut? Running a freelance business is not easy, I know!
All business owners have one thing in common - we are never satisfied with our current sales. But, If you're rolling in the dough, it can be easy to feel like there is nowhere else for your business to go. Lucky You!👌🏽 But don't get too comfortable! You should always strive for business growth and improvement. You just never know what could happen!
Here are three practical ways to help, even the smallest business, like yours, grow into something spectacular.
1. Track and review dataI've always been a fan of data, and I'm sure you are too! (or maybe not) 🥱
It's great to look at your website statistics using Google Analytics. Monthly is good. But, if that's too much for you. Every once in a while, check to make sure everything is running smoothly.
This may seem obvious to some of you, but most people never do it! You should always be checking data and tracking your site's activity. Google Analytics has a lot of endless tools that will help you evaluate marketing strategies and monitor frequent visitors so you can see where the money is going or what needs tweaking.
You can check on the bounce rates, the time customers spent on your site and how often customers are returning. In the end, Google Analytics is not just a tool for monitoring traffic and marketing strategies. It's also an analytical dashboard that can help you make better decisions about your business.
Just be careful though! If you're anything like me and love this kind of stuff, you could get caught up for hours in that rabbit hole.
2. Find someone reliable and trustworthyCollaboration is good. I often work closely with another freelancer, she is brilliant. Whenever the time comes to put a decent blog post or article together last minute, she’s there! She used to be my employee when I was in the travel industry, but now that we both run our own freelance businesses, her brilliance continues to benefit.
She has written for my website in the past and knows what it takes to put together an engaging post without being too repetitive with content. Now we have a process set up for writing copy and blog posts for clients.
3. Dont forget to look after yourselfI can't emphasize this enough, Look after yourself. I know, I know, it's easier said than done when you have deadlines to meet. But, I always find that my most productive time is when I am away from business, connecting with nature or meeting a friend for a coffee and a slice of chocolate cake. That means leaving your mobile at home, ok, ok, maybe not, but at least switch it to silent. 🤫
I will walk and listen to a podcast to get me re-energized! You can try this too by taking a long walk around some scenic locations.
If you're feeling the need for change and growth, and need a boost. Make sure to set aside some time each day for just doing what makes your heart happy: an art project, travel plans, another slice of chocolate cake. Because sometimes we can easily lose sight of why it all matters.
