My Top 3 Plugins

I've been moving in and out of plugins recently, cutting the fat and keeping only the most essential and most enjoyable plugins for myself. It's tough to find a good one that is simple but effective (and one that especially doesn't scream at you every time you open Wordpress hoping you opt into a fee for basic functions).

I thought I would share them, in hopes others may see this and make use out of them as well.

1) Elementor

As a visual person who enjoys a function drag-and-drop system, elementor is absolutely amazing for me. It reminds me of when I used to make Wix websites for fun - plop down whatever you want wherever you want on a page or post. Headers, paragraph text, images, buttons, columns, free vector icons, star ratings, progress bars... it goes on. I love it.

2) Simple Social Buttons

Exacty as the name entails: simple, lightweight, and unobtrusive. It gives you exactly what you asked for, a simple social tab you can place wherever you like on a post or page. It can be placed on the sidebar, at the top or bottom of posts, as a popup... and the custom icon selection they have is drop-dead gorgeous.

3) Grammarly

This one is super important in my day-to-day blogging. It's not a Wordpress plugin, but rather a Google Chrome plugin. It catches not only typos but common grammatical errors as well like comma misuse, phrase structuring, etc.

It's completely free, and it beats a lot of other grammar checkers out there. It was actually a mandatory plugin when I used to work as an audio transcriber, if that means anything about the quality.

I would love to hear about other plugins people have found essential for their sites. I know I'd appreciate a good reccomendation, and I'm sure a lot of people would.

Simple social buttons is fantastic. Haven't tried the other two. Jim

Having an international flavored site, WPML is essential for me.

Mark

Hey Mark. I might end up trying that plugin since my website seems to be getting almost double the clicks from India compared to everywhere else.

Love Grammarly, I actually have installed on my laptop so I don't have to install it inside WordPress. But I would like to try that the first two to give a little jazz to my site but not be too much.

Great info. Thanks for sharing.
