Day 28 and my first search engine terms in statistics

Today marks the first search terms I have seen in my stats. The funny thing is when I use that term in Google or Bing I don't find my site. But anyway someone did. There are also 3 other unknown search terms. I'm not sure what that means but at least 4 searches have brought people to my website. So that's fantastic.

I see a steady stream of visitors yet I don't knwo where they are coming from. I know some are coming from WA but I suspect some are finding me elsewhere. Someone shared a link from my site on Reddit and I've seen a few visitors arriving because of that.

The proof is in the pudding. Next task, more posts, more reviews, more ads, and keep going through the lessons.

Jim. Good plugin to have installed is jetpack by Wordpress. Good way to keep track of where your traffic is coming from.

Agree, except WA block it!

Reddit? What is this? Does it help with rankings?

Hi Laura, Reddit i what is called a link directory, similar to Digg and Stumbleupon. It is where you can submit a link to an article (or blog) which you find interesting. You have to be careful to submit to the relevant group (or reddit) and not to spam. It is most effective when someone else posts your links and says something about it, but you can post your own as well.
Stumbleupon can be very good too for getting traffic. Link directories work when others like or share links. So it's a good practice, like we do here at WA, to share links from others as well, and thumb up and like other existing links.

Thank you, Jim. I checked that page.... I'm no expert, but to me it looks so unprofessional...maybe I'm wrong.
thanks again for your quick answer.

If you mean its user interface, I agree. It's a bit messy.

Well done.

Yes Content is King, is the phrase Kyle uses. Just takes time and effort to get things rolling. Great success in your journey. Great derision on going yearly. A #1 commitment.
