Hello my name is Jim. I was born in north eastern Oregon and have spent the last 15 years in western Washington. I have been here long enough to have moss growing under my ears. Yes it rains here as much as everybody says it does.
I was raised by loggers and farmers. So the old school ways of hard work and hard knocks where instilled in me. Don't let people tell you you can't because there is always a way to do it if you just look long enough you will see a way to do it. I was taught to break it down to smaller bites as then it is not as overwhelming.
My goals here are simple as I want out of the city as I am not fond of big crowds as I can sit over the freeway and in an hour see more cars than my home town has seen in my lifetime. I long to go back to the quite lifestyle that I was raised in but as many people know the small farmer and the logging industry are almost long gone and forgotten. This makes it hard to make a living and pay the bills and raise your family
I have been married now 18 years have raised 5 children and have seen one go to be with the Lord. I have three grandchildren. Now I see the rewards. Grandchildren are Gods way of rewarding you for the headaches of raising your own.
I have been through some rough times and good times. Without the rough times you don't know what good times are so a few more rough times will set up for good times. As you learn how to make it through them.
I have spent 15 years behind the counters of a auto parts store 4 years driving a tow truck seeing things at there worst among many other things such as a few years in a RV manufacture that is no longer in business.
I remember a time when someone told me that there would be a computer in every house and I looked at that thing the filled a closet in the biology room and took up two desks and my first thought was no way. I was not going to build a special room for that in my house!
Now look at me very obvious that my opinion has change as i now have a laptop, desktop and a smart phone that all do the same thing.
I learned one thing is that you are never to young to learn and with that here i am. I feel that it would be nice to put your days work in from the quite confines of home and country.
