Cut Down to Size on My Birthday!
After receiving such an overwhelming response from the community on my recent Landing Pages post (where comments are still coming in), I must confess.....
Yesterday was my birthday, and I guess my head began to swell.
Lucky for me before it completely burst, thankfully Felicia cut me down to size on my birthday!
Seriously these and other Amazing optical illusions were all part of the Great Exhibition of the renowned Dutch iconic artist MC Escher, at Industry City in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.
It's wonderful when 2 people have such a long and deep connection, especially when your better half is a higly-sought after social media guru!
She can easily be in two places at once!
This exhibition is running until Feb 3, and I would highly recommend it.
These optical distortions of reality played into such an intriguing interactive experience, and was all part of "The Relative Room."
As well as this one below, such an incredible and ingenious artistic interplay of geometry and form.
MC Escher's Legacy
MC Escher has been lauded by his famous contemporaries as a "Genius within a Genius."
His astounding imagination into forays of cubism and surrealism using complex forms that transform a simple idea of substance into a complex labyrinth of mind-bending shapes will leave your jaw-hanging.
Born in 1898, MC Escher began his formative years as a very unremarkable student who went to architecture school, but by the time he was in his early 20's, he was creating iconic works that would dazzle the brain, and in 1934 he created his most famous work out of wood, his "Metamorphose."
His wide body of work is truly a work of enigmatic genius, and his alternate views of the world through his art have been used in scenes from the movie "A Night in the Museum", and on album covers and in music videos by the Rolling stones and Pink Floyd.
And by the way, Industry City in Sunset Park (which is a huge complex of industrial work spaces, art galleries, shops, and food vendors) has one of the most interesting elevators that are redone by the season - today a tropical oasis in the middle of Winter!
And this Alien cosmonaut 15-foot tall figure will welcome you into a butcher!
Just one more side tour of another one of the ever-changing neighborhoods in Brooklyn.

After checking out your post about landing page yesterday, today I'm swimming in the live training sessions related to that topic. Some of them are dated back all the way to 2013 but still give tremendous amount of great info and value. Thanks to Jay. :)

That's excellent Hugh, yes I've read a good number of those sessions dating back to 2013, the one by Jason sticks out in my mind "Brilliantly Binding Landing Pages" .
Many are still great, and not outdated.
