How do I escape the Rat Race in 2018

We all want to escape the rat race. You know that dreaded part where we have to wake up in order to clock into our 9 to 5 jobs? Some because we hate our jobs, and others because we have a little bit of stress that goes on financially. After all, it would be awesome to have the peace of mind knowing that money will always be coming in and that we don't have to worry about whether the bills will be paid or not.

How did we get stuck in it?

We got stuck because we were convinced by society that we should value things like a big house, nice car, huge boats, and some nice shoes and clothes to go with it. We were taught that the more stuff that we had in comparison to our neighbors, the Joneses, the more we will be "winning" at life.

There are two problems with this, we all don't define winning the same way. Its like having a lot of money. Your context and my context of a lot may not be the same even.

How do we get out of it?

In order to walk away from the rat race, you will need to make passive income. Passive income is money that you earn with little effort being needed to maintain it after the initial work has been put in. It allows you to have a choice of what you would like to do with your time and it allows you to have a choice between lifestyles. Do you want to have the millionaire lifestyle with boats, cars and homes? Maybe you don't care as much and will be just as happy living a $50,000/year lifestyle. Either way, passive income allows you different lifestyle choices. If you asked most people, they probably would say that they do have something better to do with their time other than go to their job. They probably want to go travel (who wouldn't), volunteer for the homeless, go skydiving, etc. But in order for them to do this, they need their time back. Thats what passive income can give you.

Examples of passive income

There is an abundance of ways to generate passive income through affiliate marketing. Some ways you can generate passive income include

• real estate through rentals
  
• stocks through dividends as well as options writing (not for beginners)
  
• bonds through interest
  
• courses that you create on udemy

But my most favorite is from through websites through affiliate marketing. The reason is because it is cheaper to start unlike real estate, and it doesn't fluctuate like stocks. You build value and it doesn't go up and down like a stock would.

Affiliate Marketing courses are everywhere from Udemy, Affiliorama, Pat Flynn's 123 affiliate marketing course, and much more. But if you are only a beginner, i would highly suggest that you join a beginner friendly affiliate marketing course that comes with plenty of lessons, trainings, webinars, and tons of help from an awesome community.

"If you always do what you have always done, you always get what you have always gotten"
