How Wealthy Affiliate changed my day to day life

Hello everybody, this will be my first Blog Post on this platform and I would like to share with you how this site has changed my day to day life.

First off all you need to know that I used to work long hours in a big international company until they decided to relocate to a different City. Since I liked working there (or at least I thought I did) I was regretting my choice not to follow them for quite a while but I was just not ready to leave everything behind, I'm sure a lot of you can relate to that :)

I started looking for another job but then decided to take a year off and to travel. I really loved that, I mean I had my occasional Vacation every year but now I had the time to do this whenever I wanted and so I did.

However, after some months I began to worry, everyone was telling me that I had to find a new job as fast as possible because otherwise no one would ever hire me again and they throw all this worrying at me whenever they had the chance. I did my best to not let this get to me but it slowly did.

So here I was, looking for yet another Job were I could work from 6 am to 6 pm as I used to do. But then I started thinking, what if I found something that allows me to work from everywhere? After all I did work in an office before and the only two things I needed there was a computer with internet access and a phone, so why not?

I did some research and eventually stumbled upon WA, Affiliate Marketing was nothing I had never heard before but as many before me I thought I needed way more knowledge of programming, web design and stuff like that but here it all sounded so easy and understandable, even for someone like me, who had no experience whatsoever.

I registered and started my training immediately and now a few months later my working days have changed drastically.

How it used to be:

I woke up at 5 am, took a quick shower and ate something before I headed for work were I started at 6 am. We had flextime but I liked to start early so I had the office more or less for myself for the first 2-3 hours and usually I needed that time to get rid of my new Emails.

Another reason for me to start that early was the traffic, at this time I just needed about 25 minutes to get to work but if I left my home just 30 minutes later I would need about 60 to 90 minutes and there aren't much thinks I hate as much as being stacked in traffic.

At 6 pm I went home and thanks to above mentioned traffic I reached it at around 7 pm so after preparing and eating dinner the day was almost over.

How it is now:

Whenever I think of something new to create content for my site I start to work, sometimes 8 hours without break but not because I have to, but because it feels so much better to work on something I created myself instead of working for some company.

Another great benefit is the fact that I can work from wherever I want. This summer for example there were days when I was sitting with my laptop in Zurich at the lake or at the beach in Greece and Thailand and just worked there.

I have finally time to train again, I used to go to the gym 4-5 times a week but I completely stopped during the last 2 years because of the long hours I worked.

All in all I can't help but be grateful that my former employer decided to move away because it forced me to find something else and even though I have a long way to go here on WA I feel confident that there is success waiting for me at the end of the road.
