I am building my new website and do not wish others to see it as it is not ready yet. May I know how to lock it temporary or put a sign that it is under construction?

Love this, as I have a site under construction, just put a notice on the front page saying so, this is much better.

There are many plugins to handle that.
Choose one that sets the correct 503 status for the site, so Google knows what is going on.
Also make sure that admin have access to see the site even if plugin is active.

If you don't let other people visit your site just change the 'vision' button from public to private, then your post will keep private until it will public when your post or page are finish.

Thank you so much TeeTeng, you give me another option!

you can install a small plugin called "under construction" - you will still be able to see everything when logged in, but if other people come to the site, they will see the under construction screen you set in the plugin.

Hope this helps.

All the best,
Mikael

Thank you so much for the lightning speed response, MikaelM, my gratitude!

Friends, I understand that pages are the ones on our top menu, so I had them done. So to fit under the page, I need to have the related post, e.g. Activities for Toddlers (page

okay thank you Sherlon, got the answer. But can we normally name our categories the same as pages?

The menu isn’t only for pages, it’s also for category. In my opinion, it’s better if you create Activities for Toddlers category than a page. You can put the 2 posts you make under that category and put that category on the menu instead of a page.

As for your question about naming the categories, yes, you can.

I do that with my pages, but I make it a bit different. I created a page called best free language learning websites where I write about what the page is about and what I’m going to put on the page, which is the link to all of the free reviews I made.

Then, I create a category called free courses reviews and put all the free reviews I made under that category. After that, I put that category as a dropdown under the best free language learning websites page.

I hope I’m not confusing you with my explanation =)

Juneyo, thank you for your detailed explanation, I think I got it, let me practise and tell you how it goes, thanks again!

Sure. No problem.

Up above where it says Need help..Ask your question here there are many blogs and one or more should have your answer. Hope this helps.
