Please Help Honda!
Honda is with us for 34 days. He improved a lot! His fur is beautiful, the naked spots on his neck belong to the past.
He grew a lot. Picture taken on Jan. 1st.
Picture taken today, Feb. 2nd.
However, he is still sick with the bacterial infection like a sinusitis.
He got antibiotics for two weeks but the improvements didn't last long. The infection got worse again after stopping.
We met the vet two days ago. She advised giving him antibiotics again and a treatment that helps him to bring out the mucus. She advised us also to give him L-Lysin to strengthen his immune system, and to keep his nose clean.
So I clean his nose with very weak Epson Salt solution and put coconut oil on it after cleaning.
He is so patient with all those treatments!
What could I do more to help him? I'm not a cat expert yet. But I know, many of you, guys, are experts! Please, share your advice with me!

He, Jenna I think you are going a great job and for what you have told us you love for him will be sufficient. But I also feel that Taetskes advice is very good, keep safe and Honda will respond to your loving care.

Good Morning Jenna.
Besides putting coconut on his nose I would give him a little spoonful in his food. You can add 1 drop of CBD oil. All my cats and I drink Arcilla water. You can buy clay in powder form in the health shop. I use green clay. Put 1 cm of clay in a glass bowl. Never use metal or plastic. Put water on top and fill the bowl. When the water level goes down you just fill it up and when you see the clay has been used up wash the bowl and start all over. For myself, I have a water glass standing in the kitchen and try to drink one glass a day.

I thought about the turmeric powder in the milk. But your comment inspired me. I have the idea to juicing some turmeric and add few drops to his water. We mostly have a fresh turmeric at home.

Give Honda 1/4 tsp Haldi-(Turmeric powder) mixed in warm milk.
Repeat this 3-4 times and your pussy will be fine.

What a beautiful little cat. Honda? Cute name. You may have to keep him on antibiotics for a longer period of time-but keep in touch with your vet--He or She can make recommendations on how long. My cat has chronic sinusitis. I use a vaporizer and keep it going day and night. But I only have a two room apartment.
If you have a large house , you might need a humidifer. Just anything to keep some moisture in the air.
Otherwise, sounds like you are doing all you can. If Honda is eating well, and his fur is growing out- he is probably on the mend. Sounds like he just needs time. Keep in touch.

We found Honda on my husband's motorcycle, Honda ST 1300. Therefore Honda :-)
This is what the vet said that it could be. Honda was in very bad shape and who knows for how long sick already. Way too small for his age.
He is eating very well.

I haven't had any issues like that with my kitties, but it sounds like another round of antibiotics can't hurt.
Plus, I think all the love and attention is going to help Honda heal as well.
Sounds like you are staying on top of things and that's the most important.

I love that little guy and desire him being healthy! He had such a hard life til he found us.
But it is a healing process and I need to be more patient.
Honda is doing much better. He sleeps a lot but evennings he also plays with Nani what is always a good sign!
