First real affiliate sales!
I haven't blogged here in awhile. To be honest I have been putting all my focus on my site and have not spent much time on WA once I finished the training. I am so excited to share that I got my first real sales (I already had made a little with adsense) on my site this weekend. I had three sales on Amazon. None were for an exact product I was pushing but all three were related to my niche.
I have been at this about six months and I have had moments of doubt about whether I could ever make anything doing this! I am in this for the long haul though and have continued because I am proud of my site whether it ever makes anything or not. It's so exciting to see the training here at WA working!
To give a little background on my site. I post about twice a week, I have no doubt I could be further along if I posted more often but I take care of my two toddlers 24/7 and it's very hard to find time. I have been doing this about six months. The first few months I had hardly any traffic but I started to notice traffic and rankings go up by about four months in. I am still hoping for more traffic and if anyone has any tips on how to get there let me know. I seem to be stuck between 20-50 (at the high end) visitors per day. I am guessing it's just a matter of adding more content. I also recently upgraded my theme from a free theme to a paid one so I wonder if that helped. I also do a lot of networking in mom blog groups.
Just wanted to share my story. The training here at WA is awesome and I can't wait to see what's next for my site.

Thanks for sharing. I have my own doubts as I didn't get to my first sale,yet and I have wondered when should I expect it.. It is very encouraging to learn that it really works for you. I hope it is only the beginning and that you will see significant sales soon.

I have seen some people get a sale as soon as 3-4 months but I think anything within the first year is common. I think.. :) anyway I was giving myself a year to make this work so I hope I am on the right path. Your site looks great btw!

Hi Jen, this is awesome! Congrats! As for advice... You should go to Fiverr and pay $5 for traffic. That's what I did and I got my first sales within 2 months. There are lots of helpful things on Fiverr that are cheap and quality work. If you are interested, I can email you the people I used. :) Hope this helps!
