So I was going through Kyle's training regarding setting up new users and I created one, but it won't show up on my old post. I have updated the old post in the quick edit men

I didn't know we can delete the default user which is admin. How do you do that? Have you tried to logout and login again?

When you go to the user tab as long as you have at least to users you should she the option to delete one. I can't tell you exactly where it is because I only have one user right now and the option to delete isn't available.

I understood. In my opinion, rather than you delete the default admin, you can just change the name admin to something else. As for your problem, I'm sorry I can't help you much with it =)

how long does it take to get indexed on google? I am still in the free membership phase and I have a siterubix.com site

I own the domains for both of my sites and one got indexed right away but the other still hasn't been indexed. Should I worry?

How long has it been? Sometimes you are at the mercy of Google. You were in the right place at the right time with the one site.
I have had them index in a day and have also waited 6 weeks for one to index.

It's been almost 5 weeks now

Do a fetch in webmaster tools. Also, what is the addy for your site that is not indexed?

I will research what a "fetch" is lol. thanks

Additional info to add. I recently did a manual thing to get indexed, and I think that worked, but on my siterubix manager screen, it stills say I'm not indexed.

This site you just posted a link to,http://foramateurphotographer.com/ is indexed

I started working on my second site yesterday, transferred the domain hosting over this morning to WA. Been working on my site and writing contents. I just checked my website and its is indexed already. In a matter of a day.
I think it helps if you have a your own domain. Good luck and all the best :-)

Sorry for the super late reply. But wow that crazy. My site I transferred my site over and it been 2 weeks and still not indexed. I guess I need more traffic. Good luck to you!

if you own the domain of your website you can be indexed really quick mine only took 3 days

Hello, it depends for a normal site it can take up to 3 - 4 weeks...

For a Rubix site it even takes a lot longer, but they also get indexed just like all the rest... But 6 -7 weeks it will be easy, from the stories I heard...

Grtz,
Bert

Does a site need to be indexed before it can be ranked?

Yes.. That goes hand in hand;..

Ok thanks a lot for you help!
