So I make my first Amazon sale....it wasn't much but it was my first and I was excited.

Then I get an email from Amazon stating the below:

Thank you for applying for the Associate program. Upon review, we are unable to accept your application. A part of our criteria is that your site ha

s to be established with enough unique content. We rejected your application due to one or more of the following reasons.

- Lack of content which is original to your site and beneficial to your visitors
- Pages that are mainly empty when advertisement content is removed

Unfortunately, we arent able to review an application once its been rejected. If your website has been further developed and now contains appropriate content, youre welcome to submit another application by using the following URL:

Needless to say I am pretty ticked off and pissed at Amazon....why wait until I make a sale to then review my account.

Amazon did the same thing to me! And because we can use their pictures I had a lot of products from Amazon on my website. I was so mad, I had to re-do most my site and I'm still in the process of doing so. My first sale also! Not Happy At ALL!

Yeah it's horrible when it happens

It is always very important to establish a solid base of content on your website before you apply to Amazon. I would recommend around 15-20 pages/posts until you apply to this program, and many others that usually do a manual review.

That is why it is covered in Level 3 of the training. Unfortunately this can happen sometimes, but there are many alternatives to Amazon out there and I definitely wouldn't let this demotivate you, rather use this as motivation to get better!

Thanks Kyle, I'm not totally demotivated but it does suck!

They wait until you make a sale because at that point they have to pay you money. Until they the actually have to pay you they really don't care. I've had a couple accounts deleted for the same reason. Now I build content on my sites then link amazon to them just to keep them happy.

A couple... wow. Hopeful it won't be like that for me
