Hello everyone in Wealthy Affiliate!

After the troublesome day yesterday, I have a lot of calls to make concerning things--that will be the worrisome part of this Wednesday Hump day!

Of course, when I awoke at 6 am, I dove right into the Wealthy Affiliate Community to peruse the overnight posts. I still have to maintain some sort of structure as I sort through these other issues.

Kitty popped in for a moment too, although the image is a bit blurry. She didn't stay long though.

Monica called me around 8 am, and we talked off and on for a few hours. It was nice conversation. I might need her to take me a couple of places over the next couple of days, unless I get my driving situation rectified.

I finally took a break and captured some images of this new HUMP day, to include the title image.

We were already in the mid 70s temperature-wise.

Other than the fact that I cannot go anywhere, there are still a lot of tasks that I can get accomplished, so that is a good thing.

Oh, and this one is especially for FrankB1--Rocky was spotted near the neighbor's tree!

One of the tasks for today will be to continue re-editing the first Kindle Vella story into an eBook, after I noticed too many repetitive phrases in the latter chapter, so the tedious editing still continues.

This is likely to be the only task for my Wealthy Affiliate research for today.

I sent an email to a department in the State that promised to address the issue with my driver's license. (You really will not get to talk to anybody in person--what to I even pay taxes for?)

Above is the response that I received. Oh, I see--I'll have to be out of business for 7-10 days? I don't think so. There was no telling how long I had been driving with a suspended license, so I will go to my locksmith job scheduled for tomorrow, no matter what. This is what our country has come to. It is an indictment of all the nonsense which has been going on in the last few years.

In a word--RIDICULOUS!

I also received a call for what will could be a lucrative job, that I will ride the motorcycle over to look at to give them an estimate. I have to take some chances rather than pass these jobs to out-of-town competitors. I NEED the work!

Soon, I'll be talking to my buddy, Kevin, and then I will be heading over to do the estimate! Wish me luck, my friends!

I'm a bit nervous, but since I never knew my DL was suspended, I just need to be more careful. Monica will be picking me up later this afternoon to take me over to her place for a while this evening, so that will be good, since it will be one less place that I need to drive to!

Since her oldest daughter and her boyfriend went to Oklahoma today, they left "Godtilla" over at the house too! OH JOY! I'm sure that the BLOG DOGS are loving every bit of that!

I'm publishing this post much earlier than usual, but barring any unforeseen complications, I will be back on the computer this evening, God willing!

Head held high, I will continue to do what I need to do to the best of my ability. That is all that any of us can do in this day and age.

ANOTHER HUMP DAY IS COMING TO A CLOSE!ο»Ώ MINE HAS BEEN SEQUESTERED FOR THE MOST PART, BUT I STILL FEEL LIKE IT HAS BEEN PRODUCTIVE! I HOPE EVERYONE ENJOYED A WONDERFUL HUMP DAY!

Sincerely,

Jeff, the BLOG DOGS, and Kitty

No fun, having to battle for your driver's license! Hope all goes smoothly. I know the feeling...when something you are used to using and dependent on, breaks down, things are not so good. Hope you get everything squared away.

Too bad the blog dogs have to deal with Godzilla -- or maybe it should be Dogzilla. Hope all works out okay.

You hit the nail on the head, and the fact that the State does not notify you of this amounts to entrapment. I'm sure it will be sorted at some point.

That animal was picked up last night, Fran, so all is good there.

I hope all is going well.

I'm with you, Jeff. Their "high volume of inquiries" wouldn't matter if they had enough workers to help with it. That's what the tax dollars are for - not for funding any other nonsense.

I hope the blog dogs find a way to cohabitate with Godtilla - seems unfair to have them put up with that.

Hope you get the license situation squared away, Jeff! 😎🐢🐱🐢

Isaiah 😊

You said it better than I did, Isaiah

They survived Godtilla. She was picked up last night.🐢😹🐢

I hope so too, Isaiah! This might happen after Memorial Day, the way that I see it. I just believe that when a state suspends your license, they should send youa letter letting you know this! Ridiculous!😎

Happy Thursday!

Jeff🌞

Hey, Jeff. It looks like you have lovely weather still. That makes things a lot better than ole rainy days.

Man, I know it is terrible these days, trying to talk to anyone about anything is virtually impossible!

It used to be considered bad business, but I guess not anymore. Very irritating, huh especially dealing with the government.

Good luck with all that, man, and have a great evening.

Chet

Excellent weather, Chet!

Yes government red tape is ridiculous!

God is in control, so we shall see how it goes. Enjoy your evening too!

Jeff

I don't relish anyone needing to deal with the DMV's of America!
My last license expired and when I went in to renew, they wanted my birth certificate. Cool! I have my copy! NOT!!
They wouldn't accept the copy which is what I've used my whole life!
Wrote to Buffalo, New York for a certified copy and paid 30 dollars to receive a letter!! Joy!!
"We can not send you this information without and current copy of your license."
After begging and taking my expired passport in, finally, someone called a manager and I got it okayed.
6 months of red tape!
I feel your angst, Jeff!
The upside?? You have plenty to do around the house and you have Monica to help out with an occasional ride. We count our blessings, aye?
Barb

True, Sis, but the downside is, my work is picking up a bit now, and I need to make the $$$

One day at a time!

Hi Barbara,

Your story reminded me of a similar experience.

I had moved from Arizona to Michigan at the time. When I went to switch my license, they demanded my birth certificate, and the little laminated card I had in my wallet that had the official stamp on it was rejected.

Luckily I was born in Indiana, so while still a hassle driving for several hours each way I was able to get it. I made a day of it, booked a hotel and caught a Def Leppard concert that night, and drove around the old neighborhood that had changed so much in the almost then 30 years I'd been away from it.

I'm glad you were able to get your situation resolved. It seems to me so many in these bureaucratic positions love to inflict as much hardship as they can. So glad you finally got someone kind enough to get a manager willing to help involved.

Regards,

Jason

Wow, Jason, and you get to see a Def Leppard concert too? Well done!

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

Yeah, when I saw they were playing I scheduled my trip to coincide. My Az license still had many years left on it being valid so I wasn't in a rush, hah hah. It was great to be back at that amphitheater as well. I had seen so many great bands there over the years I was younger.

Guns and Roses, Skid Row, Damn Yankees, Bad Company. Scorpions and a list to numerous to mention.

Regards,

Jason

That's awesome, Jason!

Before I left Dallas, Texas at the age of 18 headed to the Army, and ultimately never to return to Dallas, they Had Reunion Arena!

I saw Rush and Scorpions on their 1985 World Wide Life Tour. That Arena got torn down several years ago, and has likely been replaced with something else by now. I saw the Damn Yankess and .38 Special at Ft. Riley in 1996--Loved both bands!

I've seen Iron Maiden in 2013, and 2017 on their Book of Souls Tour. I've also seen Kiss 3 times. The best was on the second leg of the reunion tour when I was thirty. My late wife made a deal with a scalper, and we were quite surprised when we had front row center seats 1 & 2. It took a long time after that for my eyebrows to grow back after Gene Simmons' fireball on God of Thunder essentially seared them off!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ”₯
