My Domain Is Listed For Sale (by Auction) on Flippa!
Hello everyone here in Wealthy Affiliate! Most of you know that I was in the process of joining Flippa and auctioning off a domain!
First, I went to the site and joined up. They sent this email to my account so they could verify a user id for me!
When finished, I had this email!
I then went through all the steps of establishing an auction for the domain I am using as the "guinea pig" to get myself into the game! All was good until the last step--verification of ownership!
After a little back and forth with Flippa, this dilemma was solved by our very own AWESOME site support! Now I know what to do to avoid this problem in the future!
Once all that was sorted, here was my receipt!
Fingers crossed as to how the rest of it goes, but I learned some critical things about what to expect and will be more fluid when I list again!
A great first experience with only the slight hiccup at the end which I should have already known better about!
I will certainly be keeping everyone updated on this experiment! Either way it will be a success for me, but a sale would make it a profitable experience as well!
If anyone has any additional questions, I will try to assist! As I am still in the learning stages, I will do my best!
I will keep everyone updated!

I've taken a gander at Flippa and my time on their sales platform was interesting. I'd love to learn more about the sale of digital real estate, too. Seems like a good potential opportunity. Thanks for the detailed run-through about what to expect when setting up an account with Flippa! Hope all is well with you and yours, Jeff!

Thank you very much, Shannon! I believe it is a good potential opportunity and possibly even a small regular income stream! I'm still in the learning phase of things, that is for sure! I will keep everyone posted on how it all goes! Everyone on this end is well! I hope you and yours are the same!😎

Dear Jeff,
Please look out for an email telling you that there is a buyer for your domain in the range of $ 60,000. Especially if you bought the domain from GoDaddy. GoDaddy has a policy of forwarding requests for purchase to the owner of the domain. This is used by unscrupulous people to send u a request through GoDaddy for a purchase at a very high price. And then they ask you to verify the domain with one of their own llinks, for which they will ask you to pay $300. The paperwork is quite convincing.
So one needs to be careful.
It's a huge scam.
Wow, I am so fascinated by this market! I'm planning to create websites just to sell them honestly :) I think I will consolidate my main website first but thank you so much for sharing: I am very happy to read content related to the domain market!
P. S. Congrats and wish you the best!!!
Flipping heck how exciting,
Really looking forward to the update!
Do you have an idea of what it’s likely to sell for or what you are happy to accept?
Good luck my man 👍🤞🤞🤞
Yes, I have $50 as a starting bid! I would've started it lower and for a longer period, but I am waiting to see what happens and adjust accordingly, Cordelia! Thank you, and I will post updates!

Good morning from California. Great information. I had heard about sites to sell your domains, in the future, but had not researched to see how exactly you did it. Thank you for the information, and keep us posted on how it turns out.
This is why, our platform is so awesome, the information we give to one another, is so valuable, and we help one another to achieve our goals.
Thanks again for the information. Wishing you the best!!
Have a tremendous Tuesday!

Thank you, Carla! Much appreciated. I definitely will be doing this again!
Jeff
I certainly will, Carla! In fact, I may post it as a blog post if I decide to do it again! (which, I most likely will)! Enjoy the rest of your week!
