My Annual Pearl Harbor Remembrance! Lest We Forget!
Hello everyone in Wealthy Affiliate!
Tomorrow morning, December 7, 1941 will be engrained in many of us Americans' memories. I wasn't alive then, but I know several who were, and since I am a History buff, I think it is still relevant and very important.

To all of those that serve or have served, we should always remember their sacrifices!
LEST WE FORGET!
Jeff

I visited the Memorial back in 1990 I was on a stopover in Hawaii while flying from the UK to New Zealand.
It was a very moving experience.
I became quite emotional when an elderly lady in a wheelchair commented that it was the first time she had visited the memorial and her son was one of the sailors killed there.
It just seemed so sad that it had taken so long for a mother to see where her son had died.
I come from a long line of family members who have served in various forces since the 1st World War. It is a sacrifice that should never be taken for granted and definitely never forgotten.
It's engrained in my memory too, Jeff - even though some modern-day educators would like for this current generation to brush over it. They just don't seem to have the same reverence and respect that Baby Boomers and Gen Xers do!
I have the Pearl harbor memorial at the USS Arizona on my bucket list.
The price of freedom comes at a great cost.
Thanks for your service, Jeff!

I totally love your response, Isaiah! They were truly the Greatest Generation in my book!

A never to forget experience when I visited the Arizona Memorial in 1977, as a US Navy sailor, 35 years after the destruction hit Pearl Harbor.
Very sombering, especially at low tide, when even more of the sunken ship is visible.

Absolutely, Jeff! Thanks for the special reminder. Lest we not forget. And thank you for your service!

My Grandmother was very large about this day when she was alive. She was just a young girl back then 72 years ago, riding motorcycles and loving life. This was a very low blow to all the people and our nation as a whole.
The day when the small thinkers with more pride than brains and common sense stop being our world leaders, Putin, fat guy in Asia for example, we will truly have world peace.
God bless all those working for a free, safe loving world.
Thank you for all who served and gave their lives for Peace and freedom.
