Do you think multitasking is the best way to get multiple things done fast or a fast way to mess up multiple things?

Have you found multitasking to help you tackle project

Without multi-tasking life is boring,lol... #gottakeepitmoving

True multitasking simply doesn't exist. Even single processor computers carry out tasks sequentially but so quickly that we might think they are doing things more than one at a time. Perhaps the question to answer is how effective are we at handling a multitude of tasks during a given period. In my humble opinion this comes down to prioritisation and the discipline of keeping to a task list of those priorities. Thus I may have a single priority for today to write three articles, followed by a second priority to review my home page and improve it. A third priority might be to research keywords for tomorrow.. It is most unlikely that I would complete all these tasks one after the other. I might write one article, then run out of ideas, so I spend time on priority two and then job back to priority one when my writing brain has got back into gear. This way I can carry out a number or multitude of tasks during a given period and effectively multitask. In fact this is often what I do - it needs prioritisation of work over a period, and the discipline to stick to the tasks over the period. In this sense for me anyway multitasking is not a lie. - it works in this way.

Yeah multitasking was originally termed for computers being able to do multiple things at once but like you said they do things in sequence not at the same time they just do them do fast. I know I never get anything done bc I'm always trying to do to much.

The key is to focus in a single task at a time.

Strange title!

I'm not sure in which context you mean but to some extent if you are building and promoting your website then you are effectively multitasking, keyword research, article writing, adding content to the site, checking your position in Google search results and so on.

You may not be doing it all exactly at the same time but there are a lot of small tasks going on that make up the whole that is your online business.

Agreed that you have to do all those things but if people are anything like me they jump around trying to 'multitask' and get nothing done instead of doing one thing at a time and 'building' their online business they just build a mess.

Yes it's not easy Jeff, one of the problems is as you say, there are a lot of small problems going on at the same time. I think that is why it is not always easy to teach, difficult to put things in the order they need to be done but it is just a case of doing a bit at a time until it all clicks into place.
