The Curious Chick and the Easter Egg-Happy Easter WA Family
Hello WA Family,
Being it is Easter, I am going to share with you a story that I have found today. I hope you all are having a nice holiday with your family and your friends.
The Curious Chick and the Easter EggOnce upon a time, in a cozy coop nestled amongst blooming daffodils, lived a tiny, fluffy chick named Pip. Easter Sunday was just around the corner, and the farmyard buzzed with excitement. Baskets were woven, ribbons were curled, and the air hummed with whispers of hidden eggs.
Pip, however, was far from excited. He'd only hatched a few weeks ago and had never seen an Easter egg. All he knew were the warmth of the coop and the comfort of his siblings.
"What's an Easter egg?" Pip peeped, tilting his head at a wise old hen named Henrietta.
Henrietta clucked softly. "An Easter egg, little one, is a symbol of new life and hope. It's a reminder that even after winter's chill, spring always returns."
Pip's fuzzy head spun. "New life? Like hatching from an egg?"
Henrietta chuckled. "Exactly! But Easter eggs come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. They hold surprises, like chocolate treats or colorful trinkets."
That night, Pip couldn't sleep. He dreamt of brightly colored eggs, peeking out from behind blades of grass. The next morning, while the other chicks chased after worms, Pip set off on an adventure.
He waddled past the snoozing sheep, tiptoed around the playful lambs, and finally reached the garden, a riot of colorful flowers. There, hidden amongst the tulips, lay a magnificent red egg, speckled with gold!
Pip had never seen anything so wondrous. He tapped it with his beak, then nudged it with his wing. The egg didn't budge. Just as Pip began to feel disappointed, a gentle voice startled him.
"Looking for something, little one?"
Pip looked up to see a young girl with a basket overflowing with colorful eggs. Pip chirped excitedly, pointing at the red egg.
The girl smiled. "That one's special," she said, picking it up. "It holds the spirit of Easter."
She carefully cracked the egg open, revealing not chocolate, but a tiny, shimmering feather.
"A feather?" Pip chirped, confused.
The girl grinned. "This feather, little chick, is a reminder that even the smallest creatures can achieve great things. Just like spring brings new life, so can you!"
Pip puffed up his chest, feeling a warmth spread through him. He may not have gotten a treat, but he had learned a valuable lesson. That Easter, Pip wasn't just a curious chick; he was a symbol of hope and new beginnings.
I hope you enjoyed reading this Easter story,
Jeff

Happy Easter to you, Dave
I was not expecting you to be online today with Easter. Did you have a nice Easter meal, I am just having turkey and soup for my meal.
Jeff
3 hours to cook it, 30 minutes to eat it. But it was worth it.
Local lamb for dinner today. The best.
Have a great Monday, then back to the grindstone on Tuesday.

Where are you Jeff.
Hello Dave
I am in the USA, Pennsylvania about an hour from the city Pittsburgh
Jeff
I bet its all cattle out there.
Hello Dave
You are pretty much right about cattle country here, we do have some pig farmers but not so many.
Jeff
Pennsylvania ... did you know - you probably do - that way back in the late 1600s, a couple of Quakers were arrested in London, England, for preaching their gospel.
They went to court (the Old bailey) and a jury found them NOT guilty.
The judge was so incensed by this that he actually had the jury locked up without food and water until they agreed to return a guilty verdict on the Quakers. Instead they got a writ of habeus corpus issued and the prisoners were released.
One of those Quakers went on to found the state of Pennsylvania.
See. I'm full of useless twaddle. Now if you were to ask me what I ate yesterday - no chance.
Enjoy the rest of the week.
