Hello WA Family,

Today I was at the senior center volunteering. I do this every Tuesday. We are going to learn the pros and cons of using X formerly Twitter for affiliate marketing today. This is one of my better social media marketing accounts, so let us begin learning in the next paragraph.

Pros

Let us begin with the pros of using this website. Then we will also look at the cons as well in the next paragraph.

  • With over 300 million monthly active users, You have the opportunity to a huge potential customer audience.
  • You can easily join conversations and promote your affiliate products and services without fear.
  • Partnering with others in your niche can expose your products to a wider audience and build trust.
  • You can open up an account without costing you anything.
  • Setup your account and profile in minutes.
  • A very active platform with people and businesses sharing and liking your posts.

I have done very well with this platform no matter what niche I have promoted. You must put in the time to build relationships and trust.

Cons

  • With a limited amount of characters per tweet, promoting affiliate links can be challenging.
  • Twitter's algorithm sometimes makes it harder for users to see your affiliate promotions.
  • Many other affiliate marketers are using Twitter, so standing out requires creativity and strategy.
  • Establishing yourself as a trustworthy source on Twitter takes time and consistent effort.
  • Like all platforms some niches do better than others, so the best way to find out if your niche is one of them is to test it out.

For me, this platform has been worth me taking the time to build followers. I spend one day a week here posting, sharing, and liking. The rest of the week my posts are still actively being seen, so this is a very easy marketing strategy for free traffic for me.

Most Popular Niches

Okay, I did a little digging for you for the most popular niches on this platform. This does not mean other niches will not do well. I still recommend you test your niche out for yourself.

  • Weight loss
  • Nutrition
  • Fitness Equipment
  • Gadgets
  • Software
  • Subscriptions.
  • Credit cards
  • Investment tools
  • Insurance.
  • Travel
  • Home improvement
  • Hobbies
  • Personal development
  • Affiliate opportunities.
  • Pet food
  • Toys
  • Pet accessories
  • Training tools.

Affiliate programs with good commission rates, reliable tracking, and supportive resources do the best. I have been able to get more traffic and sales using X formerly Twitter for years.

Success Tips

By being active engaging you will have more success. That is why always auto-posting is not a good idea. I only go onto the website mostly one day per week. I do post most days from my website with my social media buttons.

  • Show that you care about your followers by engaging in conversations.
  • Follow influencers, and potential customers.
  • Participate in discussions to show your expertise and build relationships.
  • Start discussions on relevant topics to attract new followers
  • Retweet valuable content and thank users for their engagement
  • Like, share, and mention your followers will entice others to follow you.

If you follow what you have just read, it will not be long and others will be following you. Now I have others following me each and every day. This can happen for you as well by being active.

Jeff

Hi Jeff

Are you finding X better, the same, or worse than Twitter for affiliate marketing?

Thanks, 😎
Frank 🎸

Hello, Frank

I preferred it to Twitter, but it has not changed my traffic and sales in a bad way.

Jeff

Thanks, Jeff. 😎

Hi Jeff- I have 3 different Twitter accounts for different niches. I have had many many followers on my personal account, which started long ago. And the other two have growing numbers. Can't hurt to be there in my book.

I also started on Bluesky today (Twitter-like) coming from the original Twitter guy, Jack Dorsey. I am giving it a try and throwing everything up against the wall to see what sticks!

I like your list of what to do and completely agree about building relationships and participating in discussions! Nice.

Thank you Anne

I appreciate you reading and commenting. I also appreciate you mentioning Bluesky, this is brand new to me.

Keep us updated on Bluesky

Jeff

Will do. Going to log-in for my second day and second post!
ANNE

Hello Anne

That is great news, you are doing an amazing job. Keep moving forward one step at a time

Jeff

Hi Jeff, did you create a new X account aside from your personal one?

Hello Steve

I created a new X account only because when I started my website it had gone from Twitter to X.

Jeff

With Elon Musk, X, has been alright, Jeff!

Jeff

Hello Jeff

Thank you for sharing, I do hope Elon Musk does not mess that platform up. Only time will tell, so far he has not caused me any problems with promoting my posts on there

Jeff

Nor for me, Jeff!

Jeff

I understand Jeff

Social media is not for everyone. I would not be using it if I was not in content marketing as well

Jeff

I get it, Jeff!

Jeff

Hello Jeff

Good to hear from you again. I am about ready to go check out your blog post for the day

Jeff

An interesting read Jeff. One to be printed off and saved.
Thanks

Hello Dave

Thank you, I do appreciate you mentioning this post is worth saving. That does motivate me to keep writing.

Jeff

Always write something Jeff. Someone will read it and take note. It might be old stuff to you, but its like gold-dust to some.
I learn new things every day but I know its only the tip of the iceberg.

Hello Dave

I am writing my posts to help new members learn more quickly than I did when I started this business.

It is amazing the learning never stops when you are a member of this amazing community

Jeff

Every day is a school day.

I am looking forward to reading your next post, Dave

Jeff

Oooh! I’d get my best pen out then. Actually, its out, I’ve just been drawing from some photos of the Abbey from yesterday.
Keep your own posts coming, I do actually learn from them. We all have our own little nuggets of information to pass on.

Thank you, Dave

I enjoy talking and learning from you. Talk with you tomorrow if we are here at the same time again

Take care of yourself

Jeff

Ciao, Jeff.
