So What. I've Been Indexed On Google

Exactly what is there to be excited about? I get indexed on Google, yes, but what does that mean exactly? I searched through Google only to find that I didn't see my content anywhere in the first 23 pages. So.... Am I supposed to be excited about this?

I understand what it means to get indexed yes, but what I don't understand is what all the hype is about. If I can't find my post then who else will find it? Is it like a waiting list where it will progressively get moved to the front of the line?

This just killed my mojo because I do hours of research on Jaaxy looking for keywords that only have about 10 or so competition and I check Google to find these same results yet when I use that same keyword my post still isn't there.

So what is the research for then? I'm so confused and aggravated! I really hope this isn't just a huge waste of my time and money.

It takes time and patience apparently. I wouldn't give up so easily. This is actually a good sign that what happens on WA is not a "get rich quick scheme" because it involves real work. Keep at it, we're all in the same boat :)

Great achievement!
It's a great step.

Bravo

Thank you.

Congrats! Being Indexed is the fist step. Using keywords with little competition alone will not get you a good rank. Your website needs to develop a history of content before Google gives you any respect lol.

I just started a new website a few weeks ago as part of the Super Affiliate Program. My site got indexed. But it was only today that I discovered one of my posts was ranked #1 on Yahoo and #2 in Bing. It was no where to be found on Google. I went back 5 pages and gave up.

But I know that in time Google will show me respect. My first website is doing better with respect to high page ranks. But still ways to go.

Don't get discouraged. Follow the training, Do the work, And never give up. Give it a few more months and see, Everyone goes through this even those who now are doing well.

Cheers.

Edwin

Thanks so much.

Congratulations!
Best wishes

Thank you

You’re welcome 😊

We get in the Google Sandbox, it takes time, indexing is good, usually takes up to three months to get out of the sandbox, the reason is because its a new website. It takes time, the older your sites are the better. It will be worth it in the long run. It requires us to be patient but don't forget there are other search engines like Bing. And other ways to attract visitors to your site. Many ways to get visitors to your sites - Its not a huge waste of time and money, just that Google algorithms determines how your site ranks just like the other members discussed below. Ask for SiteComments if you haven't yet- they help your site to rank better in Google. I haven't used it yet because Im still working on mine.

Thank you

Good news and you should be proud. Congrats.

Thank you

Get excited coz...
Getting indexed means your another step closer to your goal
Have Fun
Dave :)

Thank you

Getting indexed is the first step. Then at least you know that Google is aware of your existence. Getting ranked takes longer, but if you keep going forward, it will happen. Just keep moving.

Thank you

It really is early days yet, the age of your site is one of many algorithms which Google uses to determine ranking. This is a long term commitment. It is said it can take up to 35 weeks before you start to be ranked highly, by which time you would have at least 70 posts.

Would this mean that the younger your site is, the better you most likely ranked? My first content ranked in top position both in Google and in Bing for the 1st few days but later dropped to #4 position and my second content was indexed yesterday and ranked in 4th page in Google.

Ok, I get it now. I was confused a bit, but I know it takes time so I was curious as to how exactly this works. Thank you.

Are you writing content?, are you getting comments and using the site management to improve your website and it’s seo?
Even if you are it will take a few months. Being indexed just means they know you’re there, not that you’re at the top of the tree, stick with it and produce content and all will be well.

Thank you. I do, I write and engage, with over 500 comments on my site and 39 posts, but I only started in February, so I understand now. Thanks so much!
