Careful With Google Plus

In the 3 months since I have been on Google+ I have had 6 "Creepers" requesting to follow. These are men who ask inappropriate questions. A little investigation reveals they are not the peers I am looking for. Of course, I block them.

This is just a caution, to check your Google follow requests, they may not be focused on the same pursuits as you.

Have a Great Day!

I know what you mean, when I first set up my Google Plus account, and I was checking out some of 'interests' there.... I picked one with pets on it. However, porn started showing up there... blech!!

Hello, Judith,
Sorry to hear about the uncomfortable attention. With 3.5 billion internet users, even 0.1% wack jobs are a large number of people. Unfortunately, they are probably hard to catch and difficult to prosecute. This is one of the many reasons I like WA in that there is a concerned community with which to share and security to help repel unwanted action.
Your experience is one of the reasons I tread lightly in Facebook because you really put yourself out there if you share information. Who can tell what some people will do with information about you, your lifestyle, where you live, what you do.
Like hiking in the woods with my dog, Winston, which I love to do, I always carry a large stick for snakes, loose dogs and the rare unneighborly hiker. It's what we do to stay safe.
Best of luck. Cordially, DAvid

Good analogy with the snakes! Seems like I am getting these guys every couple of days, so I stay vigilante.

Unfortunately that's evil that comes withe good of the internet. There has to be someone who ruins thing or trys to anyway. So sorry my friend. Chin up! Thank you for the heads up.

That is almost always the case; Care should be used in any social situation, on or offline.

Facebook is the same way. Every time I check in they are men wanting to get to know you. So be careful on it to.

Thanks for this message Judith. Scamming is everywhere these days!
