If I cannot edit the Site Origin page as a normal page, I want to delete it and use the Home page as the site origin page. How do I do this?
I'm not sure, what exactly you're trying to do, but check my post Setting up a static landing page. , may be it will help.
Not sure exactly on changing it, but I deleted my home page and used the blog post page as the homepage. Not sure if that really answers your question, but it gives you one way of doing it I guess.
Thank you - This is what I ended up doing too. It seems to have the right result. Once I get to grips with the Editor tool and all the widgets I think I'll be well on the way to getting a good looking site.
Many thanks for taking the time to help.
Cheers

That's great - and i also noticed on your thread the point about maintaing a 'live' section in a static landing page to help with rankings - good tip.
Many thanks for taking the time.
My first 5 days on WA has been a very positive eye openner.
Best wishes,
