Many of us forget that Christmas is a time for gathering with family and friends to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Challenging economies drive many of us to cut down and restructure our budgets, making it difficult, and many times impossible, to give presents to our loved ones.
Reminiscing about long-gone days when the Christmas tree was full with presents made me a little sad. My sadness was soon dispelled when I remembered that I am blessed to have my family and friends. I am blessed because I am healthy and strong. I am blessed with the opportunity to have my own business. I am blessed with God's strength to face and overcome all of life's challenges. Let's enjoy the Christmas spirit and celebrate the birth of Jesus.
