Have you ever dreamed of traveling the world? Or you'd like to make money while traveling. Even if you haven't, this post is for you! We'll explore ten travel niches that are super popular right now, including how much they pay and how many people visit them every month. We'll also look at what kind of content each niche needs to succeed.

Travel Food Blog

A travel food blog is an excellent idea for a travel blogger who wants to talk about their experiences differently. Food is essential to travel and can be the best part of your journey. Travel food blogs can be about eating at local restaurants or cooking and eating at home. However, they can also focus on the food history in a particular place or even how you make your meals when on the road.

This niche is less popular than others because it requires more time spent researching before publishing content than other niches like photography or writing reviews, but once you get into it, you'll find out how fun it is!

Budget Travel Blog

Budget travel is a great way to see the world. You can do it in many ways--from camping out in a tent and cooking on a camp stove, to staying in hotels and cooking for yourself, to splurging on an airfare that gets you into the country and then finding cheap accommodations from there. But, of course, it all depends on your budget, your comfort level with crowds and unfamiliar environments, and how much time you have to spend exploring your destination city or state before moving on to the next one...

Traveling on a budget doesn't mean you have to compromise on your experience; there are plenty of budget-friendly activities available no matter where you go or what kind of transportation options are available in the area (for example, walking tours).

Road Trip Blog

Road trip blogs are the perfect way to make money online.

The popularity of road trip blogs is not just because it's a great activity for travelers but also because it can be profitable. If you create a quality blog that gets lots of traffic and links, you will make money with Google AdSense ads or affiliate marketing links. It's also possible to sell products directly from your site and earn commissions through Amazon affiliate programs (which we cover below). As long as you have basic knowledge about running a website or building an email list, then there is no limit to what kind of revenue streams can be generated from this niche business idea!

So what do you need before starting your road trip blog? First off – do some research! Take note of what other people are doing now and see what might work best for you, too (more about this later). Once you figure out where/how often/what type etc., then it's time to get started!

Solo Travel Blog

Solo travel is a great way to meet new people and learn more about yourself simultaneously. Moreover, you can do it for a long time without getting bored. This niche is perfect for those who have just completed their university education or are planning on doing so soon.

Travel bloggers usually focus on solo travelers, so this niche idea can be an excellent opportunity for you to establish your brand among seasoned writers and industry leaders.

Couples Travel Blog

Couples travel blogs are a great way to share your experiences with others. People interested in traveling as couples but want to avoid some of the more public aspects of traveling will find this blog helpful. It's also a great way to make money and network!

Family Travel Blog

Family travel blogs are a great way to connect with other parents and families. While some family travel blogs cover topics like how to save money on flights, others discuss the best places for kids to visit. These blogs can be educational for your children and fun for parents!

Tech & Travel Blog

A tech and travel blog covers a wide range of technology-related topics, whether the latest gadgets or software solutions. A tech and travel blogger would also provide tips on using these solutions to make your trip more accessible or more fun.

The benefits of a tech and travel blog are that many people want to learn about tech and traveling, so you'll have an audience from the get-go! You can also expand your audience by writing about other topics, such as DIY projects at home or streaming TV shows online (if you want).

The challenges of this niche are finding specific stories related to technology/traveling that still needs to be covered. Also, it's not recommended for beginners since it takes time to see results in this industry.

Here's how you can start:

  • Create new articles every week (at least!) on topics relevant to your expertise
Hiking & Camping Niche

Camping is a great way to get away from it all. It's also a great way to get in touch with nature and save money. The last few years have seen a rise in the popularity of camping as people are looking for ways to unwind and relax after long days at work or school.

Camping can be done anywhere, in a tent, in an RV, or even just under the stars! Camping is an activity anyone can enjoy regardless of age or physical ability because there is something for everyone!

Photography Travel Blog

Photography can be a great way to earn money on the road. Once you've taken some good photos, you can sell them online through sites such as Shutterstock or iStock photo. You could also try selling prints, books, and other merchandise related to your photography projects. If you're serious about this business model, consider joining professional organizations like the National Press Photographers Association or Professional Photographers of America to network with other photographers and learn more about the industry.

Eventually, if possible, you could also try selling your work directly to travel magazines as well as local publications in areas where there are not many tourists passing through during the off-season; this is especially true for places that don't get much media coverage outside their own countries (for example Bhutan).

Travel Fashion & Style Niche

If you're a fashion blogger, travel influencer, or an avid traveler who knows how to dress for the occasion and want to earn money on your blog, then this is the right niche for you.

The travel fashion & style niche is popular because it's about fashion and style but also about traveling. The best way to succeed in this niche is by writing about the latest trends in fashion and travel.

You can write about different types of clothing that are suitable for traveling, different styles of luggage that are suitable for traveling, or even write about other things like makeup tips or accessories. You can also create some posts where you share some photos of yourself wearing different outfits during your travels so others can get ideas from them on what they could wear when they go away on their next holiday trip!

You can make money traveling if you do it right.

Travel blogging, vlogging, and photography are all ways to make money from your passion for traveling.

  • Writing about your travels: You can write blog posts or articles (online or offline) about your adventures to share them with the world. This is a great way to share your unique experiences with others who might be interested in what you have to say!
  • Selling photos online: If you have a good eye for photography, other people will find it interesting too! Posting images online and selling them as stock photography can help pay off expensive plane tickets and tours with friends. This method takes patience; most photographers start making almost nothing once they build up enough traffic/followers before seeing some profits roll in!

Hi Jannette…thanks for sharing this. I’ve been considering a travel blog. But do you have to personally experience everything first before writing about it? Im assuming not.

And where would you get all the photos for different spots /foods because it would be near impossible to cover them all unless you were always travelling? What if you can’t experience/photograph first hand? Just curious as to your thoughts. Thanks.

Susan

Great questions here Susan! :-)

Thanks Nick…I think we’re on the same train here. :-)

When I traveled for work, yes I took pictures all the time of my food if dining in a restaurant.

There are some who take road trips during the summer months from the north who have not had southern food or like me used to southern comfort food and did not know about the difference. For instance, southern tea is freshly made tea, and up further north tea is out of soda fountains or bottles.

There would be money spent on every business, if you travel during holiday breaks with your family can take pictures and write a blog post about your experiences.

Retired people who live to travel and camp in their RV, can share their experiences and so forth with online readers looking for that information.

I can go on and on about this topic. My parents are not rich, they save their money to take a couple of road trips a year. They have seen some amazing places and dined out just like 1st class people.

I get the impression your question is just a comment to comment and not interesting in learning how.

I just buried my sister-in-law and come back to questions like this when was just sharing some information to possible help someone that is interested but I guess again I am badly fooled.

That is not what I was intending at all and you’re taking it all wrong.

You said ask questions, you’re happy to help. So I’m genuinely asking because I want to learn more. Was not meant to irk you.

I’ve been nothing but supportive of what you’ve been dealing with so no need to think you’ve been “fooled.” Absolutely the opposite. But message taken. Won’t ask again.

Thanks for giving us something to think about Jannette.

-Mike
