I Have Suffered A Major Business Setback.BUT
As we all know business moves in cycles of non linear troughs - expansions - peaks -contractions.
My business was moving nicely in the expansion direction but suddenly boom! It suffered a hit and took a bit of downward direction.
I lost a premium referral, meaning some loss on monthly WA commission. Ouch!
Despite knowing the business cycles and realities, when something like this happens, it hits you hard at first.
You get your head reeling with questions as to why this happened.
Could it be my fault?
Is there something I could have done to prevent my team member throwing it all away just like that?
But I know I do everything in my power to offer help and support to my team. Perhaps my best was not good enough?
I guess its just one of those things.
What should I do now? Lose hope and give up just because of 1 setback?
I dont think so!
I feel even more fired up to push harder with my business. My roots are still strong. It won't always be days!
Lessons Learned
- Do everything it takes to give support to your referrals
- When you know you did your best, dont beat yourself up when they give up
- These things happen
- Pick up and keep moving, business must go on
- Do even better in the future

We only have control over our actions and not the actions of others. You have said it well and are moving on. I have seen times when others have left and seen the grass was not greener and come back. That could happen also.

Sorry to hear that Jane. If this is your first Premium loss it will hurt the most. It will happen again no matter how hard you try to prevent it. There is only one way to minimize the impact. Just do what you are doing to attract more members and help them to upgrade to Premium.
You will get over this loss as soon as you get more upgrades.

There will be times like that Jane. You cannot push people into success no more than you can push a rope up a hill. You have the right attitude, you did your best. All is not lost as you say, "pick up and keep moving".

Hi Jane, the fact that you've looked to yourself first, in my opinion, tells me that you are not the one to blame, if there is any blame anyway. Like you say, there are peaks and troughs that just have to be taken in our stride. You'll ride this one out, no doubt. Be well.
