It did a good job for me. It doesn't happen overnight, but I saw my traffic gradually increase. The low-end bosts boost is around $14 for 7 days for around 200-300 targeted accounts, I believe. I am not sure of the exact number right now. I am getting ready to start again after I finish researching some new products I want to promote.

You have some good ideas here. Also although google is the biggest search engine they are not the only one. I got my first, first page ranking on yahoo and then Bing a couple of page 3's and I even got a few page ones with Duck duck go ( I was quacking excited)

Building readership organically is what we all want to do, but sometimes you have to throw in a few dollars to advertise your blogs. S you need to research your readers demographics to see which social media they are most likely to be on. For example if they are 40plus , maybe Facebook. I live in Vietnam and everyone advertises and plays on Facebook, so that's my go to for my ESL teachers site.

About $50 will give my blog a huge boost in readers for a few days, and some of them will return if they see value in my posts.

But first get a few people to read your posts and ask them for their unbiased views. I have written some shockers and did not even know. Now I try to get a couple of people to read them, especially if I am spending money on promoting them.

Most of us have been through a similar thing, and it is easy to get discouraged. This is but a learning session and you WILL get better because of it.

Google is giving most of the traffic to Web 2.0 sites and high authority affiliate sites (DA > 60, typically around 80 to 90).

You’re also competing with Google's AI-generated content.

You may have better results posting on very high DA UGC sites like Reddit and Quora. Promoting your Facebook posts is another option, as Nancy stated.

I'll be honest with you, when I first started with Facebook, I promoted my posts. All my posts connected to one of my website articles and each time I promoted a post, I got more traffic. Currently my Facebook page has 2.9k followers. It drives traffic to my website and brings in followers to my Facebook page. I let it go for a long while and I am now starting to focus on my page again.

If you can, I recommend spending a little on promoting your posts. It is cheap advertisement and while you may not get huge amounts of traffic from it, it does help.
