5 Days in and thriving
Here I am, 5 days into my new life and just getting to the end of the second level of training.
I have acomplished things that I thought would take weeks if not months in a very short space of time and for the first time in a long time, feel pride in my achievements and myself.
I am thouroughly enjoying myself here and am so thankful to the community for welcoming me so warmly and offering so much support and advice.
Achievements to date:
First website up and running on my own domain. It is covering a niche close to my heart which is model making and may well expand into certain toys at a later date. I'm looking at you Lego :)
6 blog posts and not very far short of 7000 words. I don't think I have written so many words since I left university back in '98.
Hours spent trawling the interweb for suitable royalty free images to add to my posts.
Learning the customer lifecycle and discovering that I am maybe not as different to everyone else as I thought.
To top it all off, I have had the privilege of being introduced to so many of the kind and helpful people that represent the fantastic community here.
I am already looking forward to the next phase of my training and can't wait to see what the future holds. This is no little thing for a guy suffering from depression, stress and anxiety. Less than a week ago, it was hard to even get out of bed. Now, I don't want to go to sleep in case I miss something :)
So thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone here for your support, encouragement and warm welcomes.
A massive thank you to Kyle and Carson as well for creating and sharing this wonderful platorm for us all to better the lives of both us and our families.
The future is bright, the future is WA
Edit: changed the cover image from my website header. I forgot you are not supposed to include site stuff in blogs...
