If you are saying that writing an article is helping Amazon to sell products, it's not entirely correct. Amazon doesn't need others to help them selling products. It is already a huge name that people recognized.

You are writing articles for your business. For you brand. For you.
And if this article helps people know that product in more details, the good and the bad, why they want to purchase the product compared to others with similar attributes, the credit will come back to you as when they purchase it you get commission. And when they come back because they love your site and buy more, you get more commission.

Can you give us any more information? The purpose of the article would be to establish keywords that would show up in browser searches. So unless they have other ways to attract traffic to the site, I'd say you want to write an article.
