I know the .com domain is available; why is it not showing up? Thanks
Are you sure the .com is available - even though its not being used for a website someone else might still own the domain name. If you go to https://whois.icann.org/en and enter the domain name this will tell you if it is registered by someone else
Did that, thanks Evie, shows it is available, not showing up when i type in search box (at Rubix domain search). just happened with another domain i just registered; wsnt there first time i searched, third time i searched it was there and i selected it. ??? strange
Hey, the SiteRubix is a different domain extension. You can't have the .com and SiteRubix.
Make sense?
That must have been it. I am a premium member (just signed up) so perhaps it was only showing me the FREE extensions that are available. At any rate I have all of my .com's for now (they did eventually show up as options)!!! Only thing is, I thought registering domains was free (up to 25) if you were a premium member. Thanks again and Good Morning to you too :)
Oh, your hostings are FREE, not the domains.
Sounds like you're all set!
You're very welcome and CONGRATS on going Premium!
hosting is free (and to be honest its a good bargain as hosting can be so expensive) but domains are controlled by a central registrar.

Domain names, searches are resulting in .org options only?

How do you know that the .com domain is available?
If you enter the domain name at the site who.is, you'll get a confirmation as to which domain names are already registered.
You're welcome -- It's easy to assume that lack of any response to a URL means that the domain name is available. In many cases, though, the name is registered but has no website associated with it.
