I've been doing it wrong!

Last Update: March 06, 2017

Someone said once: "Choose a job you love, and you will not have to work a day in your life".

I'm almost 40, and I've had more than 10 different jobs in 20 years. And I can promise you, I haven't loved any of them...

Sometimes the salary was the only thing worth the effort.

In other occasions, the people I met at work made up for the overall crappy experience.

And it was just in two of them where I can say I felt the actual work I was doing was kind of meaningful and I was actually learning on the way.

But none of these three aspects would ever really come together on just one job.

Can you relate?

So I was desperate, trying to find that "unicorn", that "too good to be true" job which I really liked doing, where I would meet the nicest and most helpful people in the world and that would actually get me that financial stability at the end of the month and allow me to travel and do the things I love to do.

The problem here is that well-payed jobs required an experience I didn't have, and the ones I could have liked doing, offered a really low salary.

Have you been there?

So I was getting really tired and starting to think that I could never settle down...

I was so desperate I started looking for ways to earn money online, since I've seen that many people made a living on the Internet, but didn't find other than scams or high-ticket entry MLM platforms which were quite attractive but risky and I wasn't willing to put a money I didn't really had on those.

But I was doing it completely wrong!

I was looking for anything which got me money at the end of the month, so that I could be able to do what I love, like travel, spoil my wife, get a better camera...

Can you believe it actually works better the other way around?

I never thought that I could really do what I love, get money out of it and, at the same time, help people on the way.

That's the winner combo I was looking for, and I found it at Wealthy Affiliate. The only place I could try for free, amongst all the questionable reputation websites and scams I came across on the Internet.

Here, at WA, it's as easy as following 3 simple steps:

- You just need to THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU LOVE TO DO (something you're good at like a hobby, sport, helping people if that's what you like to do... anything).

- SET UP YOUR FREE WEBSITE around that topic you just chose.

And you make this way helped by many others who have been there before and already created a succesful business online. Learning, step by step, everything about how to do it from them and from the owners of Wealthy Affiliate themselves, who spare no resources in the training...

A honest online community based on the pay-it-forward concept. (I help you, you help someone else, ...)

As easy as that. No catches, no scams, no bullshit! And you can actually check that out, since it's free to access it. Why would something created to help people have an entry fee? That wouldn't make any sense at all, right?

Man! If I only had discovered this before!

But I guess "the master shows up when the disciple is ready", so here I am.

Thanks Kyle, Carson, and all the awesome people in WA.

Cheers and success!

Thank you for this post, Israel :)

I've been approached by a few people wanting to grow their chain in some of those high-ticket MLM schemes, and I've always been skeptical, not so much for the high risk involved but regarding the ethical aspect of not providing any value - on the contrary, making the top heads richer and destroying relationships by pressuring your friends and family to join you.

Whereas here in WA, you develop your OWN website and your own business, you're a part of an awesome community and you are able to provide and receive value!

Thanks for the inspiration to keep going,

I totally agree, Nicky.

MLM works if you are only striving for making money no matter what, even if that means dragging your friends and relatives into it... I'm not up for that.

As you say, WA is actually a community, where people help each other expecting nothing in return.

I guess the options are there, and which one you choose depends on which kind of person you are, and I'm glad you and me (and all the people here at WA) are the second kind, since the world needs more of those.

Thanks a lot for sharing your experience :)

I wish you all the best in your journey!

Hey there Israel,

I totally get you, especially about "the master shows up when the disciple is ready".

I've been online for over 8 years and I've worked on many training platforms. I found WA a couple of months ago and I'm so glad I did.

WA has everything I could have ever wanted in a training platform - it would be easy to say I wish I had found it sooner, but I probably wouldn't have appreciated it as much as I do now - as I would have had nothing to compare it with.

Thanks for your post, it's been a good reminder for me about how grateful I am for WA and the awesome community.

All the best with your WA journey Israel.

Yeah, Jacqueline, that's exactly what I think about when the "what if I had found this before?" idea crosses my mind.

Now we're ready to take it, appreciate it and make the most of it!

I've been in WA for four months now, so I guess we're pretty much at the same point of absolute happiness of having found this eye-opening community.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this :)

Best of luck to you too!
