Making A Case For Writing Services At WA

Warm greetings to this lovely family.

As a new member, one of the challenges that I have had to grapple with is making an affiliate commission. Generally, people come into the blogging and affiliate marketing world with unrealistic expectations. So when reality steers at them they tremble. Some quit out rightly and others readjust their expectations. And it does seem that majority usually quit.

A platform like this that require a subscription fee should find more ways to help its members make money fast. I acknowledge that there is some effort in that regard. But we can always do more. Especially those who are ready to put in the work. Smiles... My subscription is due and I have not made the money that I need to renew it. Many people face this challenge and it has a way of killing their zeal. But it should not kill the zeal of anyone that is truly hungry for success.

Some of us are really ready to put in the effort to succeed in this business. But trying to combine it with the current very tedious and hateful jobs that we are into is potentially injurious to our success in this endeavor. And so, somebody like me has decided not to be involved in any work not related to the laptop lifestyle. Currently, I am searching and have made progress in seeking platforms where I can write and get paid. I don't want to do any job not related to writing from home because I don't want to be distracted.

Thus prefaced, the reason I am putting out this post is that I found in the site comment session that some of us may need help with content production or related services. Some may simply want to outsource their content production. And if such a room exists here we can be of help to each other. For a fee though.

In essence, I am suggesting that the managers of this platform think of incorporating such a room where members can hire other members to write content for them for a fee. You can take a cue from platforms like Fiverr. It can be another source of revenue for the owners of the platform. And upcoming talented bloggers (lol) like us who are hungry to make money online will so much love it. We can elaborate more. But I think the message is clear. Cheers!

You can set up your freelance gig; it costs you nothing to set it up. That is why they have other agencies out there, the one you talked about, Fivver. There are other platforms you can use, like Upwork or freelance websites, or find writers for hire. You will need to submit writing examples if you are okay with it.

I have done some freelance proofreading gigs for college students with their academic papers. Some of that extra cash was helpful.

It's wise that Kyle did the right thing to keep this platform separated from the idea of freelancing because this isn't what WA is all about. Many members do other gigs outside of WA from the lessons learned here. SEO, writing, copywriting, building websites, building funnels, some created their digital products, e-courses, or even offered to coach. All those are different ways to make cash.

Do you know what? I think this is an extremely valid point, and I like the idea a lot. There is no doubt (as per the comment below) that there will be people trying to take advantage of others for monetary gain, but I think there is something in this for sure. I will discuss this idea with Kyle/Carson :)

Hi - this is what Kyle had to say when asked about this previously -

"We had WA jobs WAY back in the day, but the issue with that is that any time you create an environment like this, there are always people that try to take advantage of others. This is why we got rid of this and left the freelancing component (if you wanted to hire help) to people outside of WA, as there are many services that you can leverage."

And as such, members are now no longer permitted to offer paid services.

If the platform was to offer a freelance market, it would quickly become overrun with people seeking a job here and not using the true intent of WA, which is a learning program.

It would be difficult to manage without having some kind of review section where feedback was offered on the work provided, and that could lead to ill-feeling and division among the members.

Oh. Thanks. The reply is helpful. And I think that I totally agree. Especially from the aspect of the platform being overrun by freelancer job seekers. And the possibility of creating ill-feeling and division. Thank you.
