Comments are growing to be one of my favorite engagement activities.
I'll say that it's definitely been an eye opening experience learning to build and create a niche website. Really delving into my creative side and writing out new ways of expression has been fun. Every day I think about which topic I'm going to write about with the intent to have be as organic as possible.
One of the biggest things I've taken a liking to is engaging in discussion with people with mutual interest in a topic. I can remember even as far back as my college days on Facebook when I would engage in discussion about a particular topic, even if I didn't know the person previously at all. I think that is one of core, and purest aspects of web social engagement. Allowing people to share thoughts and opinions at a moment's notice with anyone.
Needless to say this has been a rewarding component of my first site since it is now a discussion with a topic I helped initiate. It's interesting to see varying points of view and being able to share my own. Very rewarding indeed. I'm a big networking and idea guy. I love to bounce Ideas and concepts off of thoughts and opinions made by others.
