4 Weeks, 3 Domains: 2 Gone; Still Here
Today I'm posting my first blog. It's my 4th week here at WA (to the day).
Thus far: I have registered and built 3 domains--2 are gone now. I have plunged headlong into 2 different niches with lotsa energy, determination, passion, and the ' i can do it' mindset.
Presently, I'm flailing in the wind.
However, I'm happy to say that for my efforts, I have gotten back $4.95 from Namecheap--selling my first domain at half-price. I put it up for sale without much hope. But less than 24 hours later, someone bought it. I guess someone's gonna make a killing out of the niche I dropped.
This is the point when I throw in the towel, before PayPal hits my renewal button for WA.
Except, I know I'm gonna miss the awfully wonderful people here. Besides, I wanna go back to this post a year from now with a huge smile that says: Success! You've come this far, and look what you've done: much accomplished in such a short time.
Ever onwards and digging my heels :-)

I agree with coolcity I'm at my fourth week barely getting my site up. Plus I've had so many set backs. But, I will hang in there and I hope you do the same. Carl
Hey, Breadtalk -- never give up. Success is not attainable in only 4 weeks. I suggest you talk to Kyle or Carson about your situation. God bless.
Don't give up yet. You are just getting started on the road to success. There will be failures along the way but don't give up yet it is too soon. Best wishes.
Nope, wealthmaker45, no sense in giving up just because we get impatient for results. Much appreciate this most timely reminder. the more failures, the closer to success. Best to you, too!
OK I am going to be blunt and to the point here. You are not going to build a business - of ANY type - in four weeks. Or even four months. This is not a get rich quick scheme.
Just like any investment it takes time to realise the fruits of that investment. What do your tags say?
Persistence
Determination
Patience
Perseverance
Starting a business of any type requires all of these things if you are to see it come to fruition and be successful. I'm not saying WA is perfect but you have the tools, you have the training, you have the expertise from longstanding successful members, you have all the moral support you will ever need and then some so what's the problem?
You said yourself that you have been chasing something for years that will help you succeed online. Well you have found it. Period.
Can you name anything else you can invest in that gives you all of this and that will point you in the right direction for a successful future? A business that will cost you just a few hundred dollars a year? You know yourself that it has not worked for you in the past because you gave up too soon, and unfortunately if you do it again then you are probably destined for a life of failure, certainly in internet marketing.
You may not have made any money yet but what you have learned, or should have, in the month you have been here is invaluable, certainly worth an awful lot more than the "admission fee". Are you just going to throw that away and fail again? Or are you going to give it a REAL go?
Your choice but you have EVERYTHING you need here. There is only one thing left that will prevent you from succeeding and that's you.
dear coolcity, what can i say? YOU prove the point.
I'm here initially because I got curious and wanted another way, hopefully a better one. Instead, what i found here at WA--apart from the excellent trainings---are people like YOU who make this a real community.
Nowhere else have I found this kind of support. To this day I'm amazed.
Coolcity, thank you. I'm deeply, deeply grateful.
It's just that I KNOW the information and training here will work. Kyle and Carson are living proof, as are many others on here who have made a lot of money and we are privileged to have their help and support for free as part of the membership here.
I have searched for years too for that magic "get-rich-quick" formula but think about it, if it existed it would be world famous.
But what you DO have here is the means to develop a proper, sustainable, successful business. It's not easy, if it was everybody would do it, but think about what you have here. I have had a few issues but the important thing to understand is the value of WA.
You can not find a business anywhere that you can start up at very little cost and NEVER need to have any stock, any premises (apart from your home), and no tools apart from your computer. Don't waste time and money looking for anything else - you won't find it - BECAUSE YOU ALREADY HAVE FOUND IT! It just depends how badly you want it because if you don't want it badly enough you will almost certainly fail.
Struggling to find the monthly fee? Go through your drawers and cupboards and sell some of that old crap on ebay.
Stuck? Ask for help! I asked the other day then got told off for not reading the answer properly, it is easy to lose focus but that's OK, just ask again and keep going. But if you give up you will never get there, there is nothing more certain.
I have been a manager/director in two different careers over the past 20 years. When I hire new people and they start getting discouraged, I always tell them it takes 6 months to learn their job. It holds true in almost any field. Hang in there!
I will pamgunter. There's no place like WA, and no people quite like you and everyone here. Thank you, so much.
Hi to Breadtalk: Glad you're not giving up! Think of the experience you got with those 2 domains. I also am a member for almost 4 weeks.I wasn't happy with my keyword exercise yesterday so today I'll sit here until it's done! Once we're a month into the course, that's huge! Now you know what's not working! Build up the one that is!
:-) elecamp, my kindred, we're having a blast out of those darn keywords, no? Yes, now I understand why marketers are obsessed with them.
I will carry on with the one I currently have. Thank you, dear classmate, for your kind words.
Keep at it!
I dont know if one or two niches is best, I keep finding really good ones (well two) that I want to start on asap but I need to get my first one up and running properly I think.
Its a long haul and I really think that a year of hard work needs to be done before you can say it doesn't work. And by then it will be working.
Josh Perks, you said it. So much to do, so little time. And all those delightful distractions! :-)
Thanks, Josh, appreciate your words.
You are most welcome. There are so many distractions, WA being one too :) Hopefully in a good way. I need to limit my time here and put a bit more in on my website hehe. Keep chipping away at it.
