What's Good and Bad in Survey Sites?

This blog expands on my thoughts on paid surveys as mentioned in response to a member's comments,
You will as an affiliate, especially in the Make Money niches be bombarded with hundreds of offers for paid surveys. Hell, that may be your 1 day total of such offers 5 years from now, and here is the reason why.
Most of these survey sites pay no more than $5 to $10 for a survey and if you are luck you only get 3-5 cash pay survey offers you actually qualify for in a week. People join and soon find out that the affiliate program will pay you like $1500 a month if you can bring just 500-1,000 people in who actually fill out paid surveys.
Survey companies are sleazy. They will pay you and your sponsor $5 each for a survey taken if you qualify for the survey even. Most of the time you fill out all the qualifying survey questions and they just say no survey found you are qualified for and pay you nothing or defer you to another chance to win a survey where you qualify but you are like 1 in 10,000 people with a chance to win an iPhone 15.
If that was bad enough you soon learn that your email iknbox is filled with thousands of sales offers because the whole time you are doing surveys and being sold 20 times per survey as a paid lead or at least your consumer data is sold. Every time the company sells you that's $20-$50 they get so for every $5 they pay to a survey taker and $5 they pay to their affiliate who referred them they make $800 to $1500.
As a Survey affiliate you have to either lie and promise hundreds of extra dollars a month doing surveys and playing games or you have to package the survey taking with how to become an affiliate to make the real money without doing more than a handful of surveys a month.
My personal preference is to tell people who are looking at upgrading at Wealthy Affiliate but don't have much money to upgrade with to do a few surveys a month until they raise the funds to pay for Premium or Premium Plus here and learn to make 10,000 times that $5 each month promoting honest systems and great products and programs.
In the end you will feel less dirty and not die in anger and frustration having been lied to.

I used to do them several years ago, Andy, but they just weren't worth the time and ultimate aggravation! Well stated!

Like I said, in a desperate search for funds you can find a few bucks in surveys but next month you are back to a desperate search. I am a big fan of GIG tasks as a build-up to BIG things, but people selling these as a means of making a big change in your life are liars and thieves.
Sadly most are companies that have their home office in under-regulated countries and have nothing to stop them from paying scrap wages or breaking promises.
I have seen them , have offers but never get one in person, a price I mean..but Im still waiting as a former memeber of Savvy,, anyway good start for fundraings..
To be fair I will mention companies don't pay consumers much for their survey data to not incentivise fake data. If they paid you $100 instead of $10 on a top end survey you would be 10 times as likely to say you make $65,000 a year and are a mother of 3 when you are really a Single guy in his 20's with no job and no moral fiber ripping off companies in mom's basement using internet stolen from your neighbors WiFi.

I have a couple of survey sites that are legit: IPSOS/Knowledge Panel & Verasight.It sometimes takes a little bit to build up the points to turn into cash, but it's an extra few hundred dollars every couple of months.
Again, it takes a couple of months to make less than minimum wage for time spent if you are living in a Tier 1 country. I have single commissions at times that took under 2 hours from research to articles that pay that couple hundred. That may take 2 months of the article having been online but I made a quick $50 to $100 per hour for time spent and I can write articles all day long. Especially now with the assistance of AI.
Ipsos Isay is a good company in terms of they don't over promise and actually do deliver but I would never advise someone to consider them and anything more than a stepping stone to a real business. Use that couple of hundred to pay for Premium or Plus at WA and learn to actually earn life changing amounts.
