Which Niche is for me?
Some people including myself find it difficult to find a SUITABLE niche. Can it be that easy as the designers of this site claim? The problems I've run into include the following:
- Everybody's doing it!
- How can I compete with the big boys
- I have no expertise
- My website looks amatuerish
- I can't write well
To be honest you are right on all accounts but we will address each of these problems and see if we can get by all those obstacles.
Expertise
I am new to affiliate marketing and have not made any sales. So who am I to give any advice on how to find a niche? Answer: I am a unique individual with a unique view on the problem and perhaps someone may find my soluiton helpful or many people may find it helpful. Let's hope many will find it valuable.
The test will be how many likes I get on this blog. LOL.
How can I compete with the big boys?
Answer: You can't compete with the big boys so don't even try. That's where the research comes in. You have to be that expert that knows all the little gems that the big boys missed. You are that cool guy, like in highschool that new where all the good parties were how to get in. You are that neighbor that grows exhibition quality tomatoes and your friends want to know your secrets. Find the low hanging fruit!
My Website looks amatuerish
I struggle with that one myself. But after countless hours looking at other websites in the same niche my site doesn't look so bad. All you have to do is keep looking for that low hanging fruit. You have to provide valuable Information that that the BIG BOYS missed and write those articles. Include lots of visuals and add some videos. Again look at what others are doing. The so-called experts are doing a LOT! check out YouTube videos and you'll see what I mean. They have a HUGE body of work that people like. And I can guarantee you that WORK did not happen overnight.
I can't write well
Niether can I as my English major girlfriend confirms. But you don't have to write well you just have to provide good information. Like giving driving directions to a lost visitor in your home town. Remember you're that neighbor with the prize winning tomatoes that everybody wants to learn about.
The final obstacle; It's too hard!
Yep, I am with you on that one. There is a lot to learn and so little time, but what are the reasons for signing up in the first place? Try to remember your goals. Making money on the internet is not easy if it were then everybody would be doing it and then there would be no money in it.
There are pleny of knowlegeable people on here that succeeded who probably started out with no experiece either. The difference is that they didn't give up. Keep it positive keep learning and keep trying. Soon you'll be the next success story.

I like your questions and answers, I have similar experiences with my own thinking about the website, about the beginnings, about writing... Then I take comfort in the fact that everyone was once at the beginning, and that with each step you progress.

thanks for sharing . You just gotta dive into affiliate marketing and get learning. Then give yourself 5 years and see where you are? It's tough but so is life. The learning process is so worth it:)
