Today I noticed a few strange mails in my website mailbox that I suspect are scams .

1. First of all I need to say that I do not use PPC at all on any of my websites.

2. I am not displaying this email adress or ID on any of my Pinterest accounts as far as I know. But I have a link to my website from pinterest where my contact details are.

I found your website listed under the Google sponsored listing for which you pay a significant amount.

But sometimes this sponsored listing or PPC creates bidding wars. You pay for every single click on it. It definitely hurts! So, why not try organic SEO for your website and boost its growth?

90% of users prefer natural results over the sponsored ones because these results are more relevant and valuable. So, just imagine how many valuable customers you are losing without acquiring organic search results.

By investing a few months in SEO, you can see drastic changes inside your web pages and outside in various search engines. We will show you improvements in your keyword rankings, link popularity, organic traffic and many more.

How about I fix those and also promote your through engaging content on relevant place on the web (read, social media).

After reviewing you website I noticed some major on-page and off-page issues need to be fixed soon. For more information about your website errors, please respond to my email.

Soon after receiving your email, I would be glad to provide you with the detailed analysis report of your website (free of cost) together with our company profile, and client testimonials. Kindly suggest me your best time and number so that I can reach you without disturbing your business hours.

I guarantee our team will give you successful results than others. Our main AIM is customer satisfaction and timely reporting. We have limited customers and make it sure they are really happy with our performance.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Note: Our next conversation will be on my corporate E-mail ID.

Best Regards

Warm Regards,

Now. I have not answered any of them and I am not going to either. as I believe they are scammers.

Note that none of them are giving their company name in the mail.

What do you think after reading these emails? Spam, Scam or other? So what are these people up to?

What are your thoughts after reading these mails. Have any of you got them too maybe?

Welcome to the club. Hilde, there are so many freaks out there as soon as you put a contact page, email or phone number out there.

Expect incoming.

Just the way it rolls,

How we handle it separates success and failure.

The delete button, can become one of your best marketing friends.

Unsolicited marketing can become frustrating and the emails you have presented have some red flags, the usual suspects punctuation, grammar and is it just me, but a very hard to follow thought thread.

As others have noted, scam and spam.

๐Ÿ˜€ I am sure of that

I have been deleting such emails every day; what is weird is that some them even have my own website emails as the sending emailing- how they find even websites with little traction like mine it makes me wonder how many you have to face.

Anyway, just like others, delete delete ๐Ÿคฃ

Yes and I get a lot of spam in the comments too. Yesterday i got a superlong comment Just as long as an article and everything was about porn. It went straight to trash.

That's really horrid, makes you wonder what in heavens name this person hopes to achieve.
I had one long long comment, who wondered if we would like to partner as my website is aimed at the over 50s & 60s and he is financial planner who writes wills.

So in a way I understand why mr Will Writer tried his luck but not a porn comment. Hateful....thankfully you noticed and acted quickly

Scam and spam - do what I do, just delete them. I also go one step futher and block the sender so I don't get any futher emails.

Good idea!

I get them all the time on my site too they seem to come through contact form. Its annoying process to delete. Many are soliciting for business can be real or a scam, I do not click a link or contact just delete, delete and delete until its all gone. I get them also in my personal gmail but they go to junk mail hit delete all trash it.

Yes I will. ๐Ÿ˜€

It sounds like everyone in the comments agree that we have to delete these annoying spam emails. Oh BTW, I get these similar spammy content on my iPhone text messages, even voicemails. I have spam text blocker even block access to my voicemail but they still manage to slide through. One stated if i did not respond the message that they will arrest me eh? Its too far fetched just spam. Delete block the call.

What?! Arrest you. Lol. Well the worst thing is that there are people who believe what they say .

These are clearly mails to fish for business with you, just delete them. I had some of those too, or even worse ,seems I have a lot of relatives in Africa who want to leave me millions of dollars :P

๐Ÿ˜€ yes I get plenty of them every week. I Am amazed of all the stories they come up with. Last one was from an amerikanske female soldier who had served in Iraq and hD found a treasure of 30. Million dollars in cash in the desert. She had no family and wanted to send me the suitcase with the money so I could keep it safe for her while she was on a new war mission. And she would give me 40% for doing this. So she needed my adress and phone number . ๐Ÿ˜€ lol. And many variations of this story. .I have also won 4,9 mill in a spanish lottery and was told I needed to pay 3k to get them into my account.๐Ÿคฃ
