No black friday for me
Ive made a decision this year. Im not prepared for Black Friday.
Ive tried in the past but had no success in getting any interest.
I spend a whole day getting the landing page looking great and no one snaps.
Simply, I do not have enough traffic yet. It boils down to this.
I know I will get traffic if I pay for it on something like adwords, but I dont have a budget for that right now. Ive tested this before so I know I can forcibly increase traffic.
But I have made the decision this year that I am not going to promote it but get on with the day to day of my websites.
I imagine some of you think this is shortsighted, with today's economic turbulence, but I simply dont have the energy to waste on something that will be pointless.
I just need to keep going, continue creating material and prepare for next year.

You are not alone for sure. The beginning of the year i thought i would be more thsn ready including ppc ads...well fastward thanks to the pandemic etc it will not be happening as planned. No funds for ppc as i had to move across country etc...will be promoting with a very few manual traffic exchanges..my website with a banner or two but that is it..
I will be posting more wa blogs this weekend as they are organically searchable.
Hopefully i will get one or two

I think its hit us all. I certainly haven't the number of blogs i hoped for. Whilst we have been locked down, the time was frustrating and I spent most of it trying to write but also keep everyone else in the house on the right path, training with my tennis son in the garden, keeping husband cheerful.. was very stressful but next year is good for me.... I will keep going !
I think as long as we keep going than it is a win in my book.
I have witnessed way to many people badically giving up on one thing or another.
Im with you...we just keep moving forward..we must!
Ill never give up until I can't type one more word and they put the final nail in my coffin. I am not a quitter! My boy, an international tennis player was told at age 9 he would only ever be a good local player.... well that's what determination does.
Hi Helen, you're not alone in that boat. I have very little traffic at the moment on my site as well (only 175 clicks for the month).
I have my same landing page for last year, just throwing a banner or two from the current banners and see what happens. I am also attempting to promote it on Facebook and Twitter this year.
I am also a new member of MeWe and Parler and will place it on them as well, just for gee wiz info.
So, as you can see... I am doing a little bit just to see what happens... you never know.

I’ll try to remember to let you know if anything comes out of my attempt. I didn’t do much so it wasn’t a lot of effort on my part.
My memory isn’t the best these days... LOL!
Perfectly understand the balance and priorities. I have some traffic but not enough to ignore my other sites for now. Working on my sites to get the traffic in the first QTR of next year when people are looking to make money and be healthier . Holiday over eating and spending will lead to success in January and February.

I haven't promoted Balck Friday since we joined Wealthy Affiliate. Like you, I want to focus on the day to day work on our websites. This is only a personal view as WA Balck Friday is a wonderful opportunity to bring in business. Right now we can't go that way, so we understand.
