The #1 Type Of Post To Increase Your Facebook Engagement

There are a few different types of posts that you need to use to build your profile and position yourself as the authority within your niche if you are using FB for free organic traffic. I have done some training here at WA on the various other types but I wanted to share one specific one with you today.

It is called an engagement post and its only job is to get you those loves and comments to boost the algorithm. See example below.

I did this post yesterday, and so far as you can see 187 comments and 2 shares and it’s still being shown and boosted back into people’s feeds as I reply to the comments.

Other posts such as value, results and lifestyle will build the know, like and trust factor for your audience, but this post is purely to activate the algorithm to then have your stuff shown to more people.

So what is it?

It is a simple statement using the coloured block background available on FB and a couple of emojis. It needs to be short and easy for people to react too, usually with just a one or two word answer.

Make it easy for people to engage and they will.

So obviously you don’t make money from likes and comments … I can follow up with all those people if I wish BUT more importantly today I will write a value post with a call to action to contact me if people are ready to take action and are done “thinking about being successful”.

Today's post is very likely to be shown to all those people from yesterday thus giving me much more reach and chance of connecting with the right people in Messenger.

And it is as simple as that!

How’s your FB engagement going?

I would love for you to try this type of post and let me know how you go with increasing your engagement and then directing people to your sites?

Hi Heidi.
What a great post...both the one on WA and the one on FB.
I'm fast learning the power of joining like-minded groups on FB and will put in place the idea you've suggested right now.

I'll let you know how I get on.
Have a great day!
Adrian

Hi Heidi,

Thank you for pointing that out. I've noticed these types of posts in the last couple of weeks. They're common in the FB groups I'm part of. They do stand out and increase engagement.

I'll certainly try that out for my FB page; I think it'll help a bunch.

Thanks again for sharing!

All the best,

-Eric

Short quotes are wonderful if you struggling with longer valuable content. However, if you have high quality post, it seems to have the same kind of engagement. For me at least.

But I'm just about to take Facebook more seriously, so I'm into more experimental face.

I have just started out to follow a specific road map, so I'm excited to see the results in the future! 😊 👍

Keep up the good work! 💪💪💪

All the best,
Fred.

Definitely Fred, you don't want to be using these all the time, I say once a week, you can get away with maybe twice, BUT true value posts to build authority and actually provide usable information should be the basis of your posts.

You want a profile filled with great content not just quotes or these types of engagement posts as that does nothing for your authority.

Sounds like a great idea to change up between content, call to action quotes and so on. 😊

Thanks for great advice! 😊

Have a wonderful day!😊

What a brilliant strategy Heidy! Let me see if I got this right. BY making it easy for visitors to engage with your post you create a following. As you get more engagement, when you do post something of value like a link to a review on your website, the chances are some of these visitors will click through.

Have you tried that approach and has it worked?

Cheers.

Edwin

That is correct and absolutely does work Edwin, but don't put your website link in the post, put it in the first comment. FB will limit you reach and thus engagement if you have links in your posts.

Hey Heidi
Thank you so much for sharing this idea. I am definitely going to give it a try.
A friend of mine has had success with long Facebook posts (very surprising to me) so I gave it a try. Sure enough, my long posts are attracting 95% more engagement than my other posts (according to Facebook themselves). That is a lot of text, adding emojis wherever possible, with a relevant image.
Thank you again.
Blessings
Louise

I actually love long form posts, you can impart so much more value, I have found ones with selfies work best and as you say if you break it up so it is easy to read people will read it.

Those types are best for building your profile and positioning yourself within your niche, you don't want a profile full of engagement posts. I only do one a week just to boost the algorithm, but they will do nothing for building the know, like and trust factor.

Value is everything!!
