Love or hate, co-creation or destruction
I don't want to write a lot about this topic, it is all shown in the photo: The 2 cycles we can choose in life. This photo is taken from an article in the Huffingtom post by Otto Scharmer, a visionary for a better world who has found the principles behind group processes and where they go. "Theory U" is the half circle below, where an open mind and Seeing/Listening and being fully in the present can lead to unprecedented amazing outcomes, bringing people together who otherwise would fight each other.
Denying and de-sensing leads to blaming and destruction. Let us ask ourselves how often we deny what we don't want to see - and then we are frightened by what we have helped to come into being by entering into the cycle of denying. And let us ask ourselves how we can learn better just to download and see - without judgement - and keep an open mind and heart and will.

I actually don't know if you can attribute it to right/left brain activity in a clear way. For sure it has to do with how we approach the world, with our psychological state and our willingness to create understanding instead of conflict. This normally happens with growing up as a human being in terms of consciousness, and especially with the development of emotional intelligence.
Excellent article Heidi! I also loved the article itself. Doesn't it speak volumes when it has since become known that around 45% of the U.S. citizens eligible to vote in the election chose not to do so? Or at least did not pick either candidate?
We can all continue to move forward with closed minds and as a result nothing in our society will get improved. Or else we can chose to have an open mind, heart, will and only then will human beings on this Earth benefit.
Great article Heidi and thank you for sharing it with everyone. As Harvey Brown commented just before I did it really should be required reading for a majority of people who inhabit this planet, not just the U.S.
I actually wanted to share the diagram, as it speaks so clearly about the ways we humans have when we face whatever arises in our lives. I added the link only for who is interested in the mechanisms of human thought and behavior, applied to a recent event as an example.
Just read the article Heidi, it is a must read for those of us who believe the current system is not working and needs a revamp now before it implodes. Really great article.
Yes, right. The current system is not working because we humans are "not working" in the sense of staying in curiosity and openhearted/mindedness, Instead it is so normal to shame and blame each other. That is the ultimate cause why we have such a difficulty to step up to co-create a world which can be working for everyone. Thanks for reading the article of one of the amazing pioneers for a different world.
