Feeling discouraged? that's okay!

Hello everyone!

I must say, it's nice to be back in the platform! I couldn't access here for over a week and let me just say, it was frustrating, not to mention extremely discouraging. I still had access to my back office, so I could still write content, though I chose not to.

Why? I used being locked out of WA as an excuse to not write. I usually write from site content and not in word press. I like it much better. Maybe I wasn't sure I would ever get in here again and didn't want to waste my time. Maybe I would lose my site and have to start over. So much was in my head. I let it get me down.

So one night I decided to go into word press and check out my analytics reports and just see what was happening with my site, if anything at since I haven't done anything.

I noticed that my organic traffic had gone up about 6% and people were reading my content. I thought this was odd because I didn't do anything. Not even with social media. I basically ghosted my site for almost 2 weeks.

I also got a notification saying that google is seeing my content and it is being ranked.

WOW! Just wow!

Is this what it means when they say it works for you? I'm pretty sure it is!

I went from having 10/22 posts indexed to having 16/22 posts indexed. Three of which are my privacy policy, affiliate disclosure, and about me pages. So all in all I have 16/19 of my posts indexed in google.

I also have multiple posts that are on first page first slot in google and yahoo!

It is so nice to be back!

For anyone new here or anyone struggling with if this is worth it or not, stay the course! I ghosted my site and looked what happened when I was gone! This motivates me to keep going, no matter what. And if you feel discouraged or need a break, take a break, but make sure you come back!

This is why we are here! To make our work, work for us when we need those breaks.
