it keeps saying it wont accept my application and i have a feeling im not putting the code in the right place... please help
You have to also have enough content on your site, enough visitors, etc. There are specific guidelines that you must have first before they will accept you besides having that code on your page.
Do not follow the directions for Google's AdSense when it comes to them telling you to put it on your sidebar. I did too and it never worked. I finally figured out where to put it after researching plenty! It sucked :)
So here's some direction for you and hope you get approved!
Log-in to your Dashboard --> Site Rubix --> Log-in as Admin --> Appearance (left hand-side of the navigation) --> Editor --> Click on Theme Header (header.php) on the right hand-side of the navigation --> Find where it says </head> and hit enter to add a new line and paste your script that Google AdSense gave you --> Update File
Then go ahead and try and re-submit your application and see what happens. When I did mine it said I didn't have enough content but that the script was in the right place. If you need a screenshot let me know and I can add one from mine.

I agree with Katie that you probably don't have enough content on your website yet to get approved by Google.
Just to make sure you have your code in the right place, this training I am posting here will show you exactly what to do with the code. It is the same as Katie has stated, but the visual images are sometimes helpful. How to Add Adsense HTML Code to WordPress Website
Hey ValerieJoy, thanks for posting that too. In another post I saw earlier today someone said to NOT do it the way I did, but that's the only way Google AdSense found mine but denied that I didn't have enough content but said I was verified by the AdSense side. So I just found 2 conflicting pieces of information. But I'm still sticking to mine, everyday now that I have a little more time as of lately I've been adding at least one new post a day.. Sometimes 2 if I have the time.
So weird that one person said to NOT do it where I posted below, but you and I agree that is where it should go, lol.
Yes, we certainly do agree Katie and we are both correct.
I think some are hooked on using plugins. I am not one of those who is pedantic about using too many plugins. On the other hand, why use a plugin when there is a better way. And inserting code is not only a better way, it is the correct way. Lol.
