Happy Fathers Day
Hey,Happy Fathers Day to all the dads here @ Wealthy Affiliate.
It's a beautiful sunny day here in Southern Ontario.
I wanted to touch base with my fellow members here @ WA too find out, what roadblocks you've encountered, and how you overcome them on your journey to becoming a successful affiliate marketer.
I know myself, as a newbie to affiliate marketing, it was taking that first (Actionable Step) of actually getting over the fear, and taking action.
Your feeling overwhelmed, and your not sure if you can do this etc etc.
I believe everyone here can share in this experience. I would love to hear your stories on how you overcame this fear, and took action.
For me personally it was rejoining WA again, that helped me overcome my fear and self doubts on whether I can do this or not.
We all need structure in our lives, whether it's our personal family life,or our business life.
I found that structure here @ WA,and I now have business plan In place, and I have set goals for my affiliate business, that are both realistic and feasible financially.
I went against the grain, and sat down to figure out how much income I needed each month from my affiliate business, to be able to quit my job in one year.
It worked out to be $8000.00 per month or $285.87 per day to reach that goal, is this realistic and attainable.
I didn't think so @ first either, until I sat down and wrote out my business plan and the actionable steps I need to take action on everyday to reach my goal.
The one thing I have learned from this whole process, is how important it is to take that actionable first step to get things moving, and knowing what your working towards by setting goals, and working your business plan around those goals with a tweak here and there.
I also realize, that it's going to take hard work and persistence by taking action everyday by doing and learning to implement different strategies for my affiliate marketing business.
Affiliate Marketing, doesn't have to be hard and unattainable,it's all the misinformation out there that makes it hard.
I'm thankful and realize the opportunity we all have here @ Wealthy Affiliate university to seek out and learn to achieve our goals of becoming successful at affiliate marketing, and marketing in general.
Hey, if you want to share your story about how you overcame your own fear and took that first step to success,I would love hear it.
Thanks, Have a great Fathers Day.
Brian

Brian, Your approach is very intelligent. It's good to break things down into a business plan so that you can evaluate each step, each plateau and reach it. Also to know what you need to earn before leaving what you are doing. All the best to you.
Hello Brain - happy father's day to you as well. I have two boys and enjoy life as a dad.
I want to share my story, but instead of writing it out - why don't you swing by one of my live broadcasts I am doing next week and I can share then. WA members have said they found it helpful and inspiring.
I personally believe in you because you ARE taking action because you have written out a business plan on how to escape your day job. Don't ever give up - because it can happen. It did for me... :)
Cheers Brian, Happy Father's Day to you too! Everybody's story is different, but having a business plan and taking ACTION is universal to all of us. When I told my high school guidance counselor in 1991 that I planned to have a career in the entertainment industry, he told me that was a "pipe dream". Well, now I am known all over the world and sure enjoy cashing those "pipe dream" checks. I went to college for music & marketing. That was before the internet was a part of every day life. I took those marketing skills to the next level by joining the WA family in October 2009. In this crazy world, multiple revenue streams are a MUST. I am very blessed to work in my field of music & marketing. I have not worked a traditional "job" in many years.
