Question, if I want to share a page of WA training and I copied my affiliate link to my unpublished website the link is not live, will it be live after publishing?

My affiliate link is not transferring to my website live. For instance, I'm trying to put amazon on the footer. Any suggestion?
The best way, go over the training or Amazon instructions. Maybe, you made a slight error, start afresh and add the link again.
