You would want some searches, and look at the estimated traffic, dont' have to be in the thousands but need to know that people are are searching your term and if it doesn't make sence try typiing it in Google and see what you get But they do say to keep the QSR Low (under 300) and SEO power the higher the better
Thank you for this great advice. Each day I'm closer to starting my own business. Thanks again VickiG

Does my webpage (niche) need to relate to the offers I will promote? If yes. Do I get to choose what offers I want to promote on my webpage?
Absolutely, you will choose which affiliates you promote on your site.
Relevant material will provide the best conversion rate.
Consider this, someone is looking for Cat products...they find a page on Blue Buffalo food but when they arrive, it is a dog food page that they find. Think they will stick around?
Put yourself in your visitors position. They come to your website because of what you said about your niche, you have their interest. The content of your website and what you promote is up to you.
That would be best if your offer was related to your niche. It wouldn't make much sense if your niche was, for example, how to make candles from home, and then you go and sell batteries =)
You can choose to promote anything you want relative to your niche.
Hope this helps!
