I've Been Reading "The ONE Thing"
Don't ask me how I've managed to read while banging out blog posts but somehow I've managed to do so.
I've been reading "The ONE Thing: The Surprisingly Simple Truth Behind Extraordinary Results" by Gary Keller, Jay Papasan
This is simply an outstanding read!
This book has helped me to readjust my thinking on what I give priority to.
What does "Big" mean to you?
Big stands for greatness—extraordinary results.
When you pursue a big life, you’re pursuing the greatest life you can possibly live.
I've noticed that most people will NEVER persue a BIG life.
They limit themselves in ways that are almost unimaginable.
Here are some facts I've noticed:
In order to live great, you have to think big.
You must be open to the possibility that your life and what you accomplish can become great.
If you are not open to that possibility, you life will be just as it is right now.
We place too many limits on ourselves.
Achievement and abundance aren't knocking at your door tomorow morning to rescue you.
They show up because they’re the natural outcomes of removing self-imposed limits.
We fear the wrong things.
We fear living a BIG life. That's terribly backwards
We don't fear mediocrity. We don't fear waste.
Tragically, we don't fear the lack of living to our fullest.
We work against ourselves.
When we fear big, we either consciously or subconsciously work against ourselves.
When we fear BIG, we fear the wrong thing!
Then we wonder why our lives stay the same and nothing ever seems to change.
We run toward lesser outcomes and opportunities.
Our normal way of life is to run toward lack and limitation while embracing a poverty mindset.
We simply find a way to run from the BIG opportunities.
The only solution is to absolutely face your fear by acknowledging it.
You will still have doubts...You just move past it.
Move. Past. The. Doubts.
My ONE thing is directly related to my business and Wealthy Affiliate.
I don't eliminate my doubts...I move past them.
All the while moving Forward...All the while failing Forward
You do this while thinking BIG.
Only living big will let you experience your true life and work potential.
The recommendation to go small is at the very heart of the book. It’s about focusing on one thing, rather than five or ten or fifty or a hundred.
Most of us spread ourselves too thin. The truth is, we have only so much time and energy available to us.
If we want the best chances of achieving something meaningful, we need to prioritize on ONE THING.
You Can Do This,
