Where do you focus on the rearview mirror or on the windshield?
Everywhere I look there is some type of inspiration and this one came from my car. We all know that the car windshield is a lot bigger than the rearview mirror. Our life should be like that. I feel myself that I have had a figurative rearview mirror that was bigger than my figurative windshield. What I mean is that I have found myself focusing more on the past and things that happen and then try to create a big picture of the future. The other thing is that the rearview mirror shows where I been while the windshield shows me what's ahead. For some reason, the rearview mirror looks bigger then the windshield. Is that to say that the past is my greatest moment because the future looks so small? I think not, I believe that when we dream and believe that the windshield gets bigger and the rearview mirror gets smaller. I believe that checking the rearview mirror on occasions let me know that where I came from was interesting but I survived even though my dream was not big.
Starting in 2017 and beyond I will redo the windshield so I can see the sky and far ahead and my rearview mirror will be smaller and smaller so that I will only have to stay focused on the windshield. The bright light ahead and the blue sky and the wonderful colors that are displayed on the landscape.
As all who reads this begin to celebrate the holidays and the ending of 2016. I would love to leave you with these words, "May your windshield of life be(come) greater than your rearview mirror of life". HAPPY HOLIDAY TO YOU AND YOURS!!

Remember, there are times when we need to step out of the light and into the darkness and have faith that things will work out. Merry Christmas to all.
The only thing tat happens in the rear is something coming up faster behind you. Fortunately if you control your thoughts that doesn't happen in the time stream!
An excellent post. I shall focus more on the windshield of life for sure! (With an occasional glimpse behind to make sure,I don't get rear-ended, of course.)
Thanks and you are right to keep a glimpse of the rear-view, at least to adjust to some of the things one has left that could bite.
