A man I helped has a great niche and he ranked with one article within hrs of buying domain name, so part of it is just the niche and part the keyword or title of your page and or post.

Focus on the title of your article being low hanging fruit and long-tailed (bigger title that has 50 visits a month and qsr less than 100) and put keyword title of page in first paragraph and at last paragraph only.

do at least 500 words but less than 1000 per page or post and space like i did here.

Only have two outside links but as you add content to your pages or post go back to the older stuff and link internally to the other pages.

That means you trust your content more than others sites. Never link a page to a post ever! But every other way is good.

The bigger your site gets if it is in a popular niche the better you will rank and once they on your site have good stuff to keep them there.

Could you please elaborate a bit more on that? I'm learning and have read other comments that are contrary to what you said.
