Schema rating stars

I've had great success in using Jay's schema rating w/stars code. However, most recent use ended with the stars aligned in the middle of the table instead of close proximity to "Rating". Also, I noticed a very faint border around the rating and star line. And it runs the length of the bordered box in the code.

I've played with the code, but no success in moving the stars where they should be. I am using a different WP Express theme this time, Weaver II 1.2.04. Maybe that has something to do with it.

Open to suggestions....thanks for your help,

Bill

Hi Bill, I know that you submitted this post back in April, but I have just been trying to familiarize myself with this process, and am also having the same problem you did. I too, for the first time, using Weaver II. No matter what I do to the code, I cannot get the stars to line up horizontally. They are displaying vertically.

Did you ever resolve your problem? ...and if so, would you please describe how?

Thanks! -John

Hi John, I solved the vertical stars by adjusting the width of the table in which the stars appear. Also, I had to adjust the tr alignment settings to get it where I wanted it. If you're still having problems I would be happy to pm my snippet to you.

Hope this helps. Let me know.

Bill

Hi Bill, Thanks a lot for your offer, but I finally corrected everything, and the site has passed Google's Rich Snippet test. It took some doing, but I finally did it. I discovered that if after submitting and tweaking code into the HTML panel of WeaverII Wordpress theme, then clicking over to the Visual panel, the editor would strip out some of the needed coding!

It took awhile to figure this out, but it wasn't the only issue that needed resolving. I've well-documented these issues, so that in the future, it'll go much smoother.

Thanks Bill, and good luck to you! See you 'round WA here. -John

I'm not familiar with Jay's schema rating stars or anything like that but if you PM me the details I'll be happy to have a look. I do a know a bit about actual website development.
