Denied Three Times

What a bother. To go through the motions of applying for affiliate program partnerships only to be denied three times already.

I thought this part would be easy, but nothing for me ever is. Now I have to work hard at obtaining partnerships that I have no clue what they are looking for. Is it that I am too young? My niche is peculiar but the visitors it involves is plenty, I mean by the thousands across the board but somehow these partners do not see it.

The say, "rejection is protection" but in this case, from what? Even the links I am told to use do not bring up the affiliate program company (i.e. amazon). Is the link some type of test to see how many people will 'click' on it before I am given a chance to promote partnership products and services?

I'm so confused~

Hi, I had a look at your site and I would say you need to go on with your site more before you apply to the affiliate program.

Your header image is still the standard Wordpress image for the theme 2018 and that is the first impression anyone will get of your site. Also you still have some of the text from the theme, like 'this is a page for...' Try to customise everything so that the site really is individual.

Finally, don't be discouraged by the rejection, just keep on working to make your site more mature and established and you'll see how they will soon accept your submission.

I hope this helps.
All the best, Soraya :)

Oh, Soraya, thank you!!!

I am so glad you gave my website your personal attention. I will begin to work on these things this week. Once I have did a revision I will hit you up just in case you would like to see how effective your advice is: ) I mean, you got me ignited!

Thanks for the encouragement too, it is a blessing and I do not take it for granted.

I hope you are having a progressive, successful day!

Peace~

Brilliant! You're very welcome and do come back to me - I'm no expert but my sites are also built on the theme 2017 (Hahaha I just realised I said 2018 in my last post!!!) so maybe I can help you out with things here and there if you get stuck.

Keep at it! :)
Soraya

I have found that most of the affiliate programs out there are very picky about who they will accept. Some won't take you if your site is not up, running, and drawing lots of traffic already. Others make a determination of the potential of the site to drive traffic.

So far, I have been accepted into about 10 programs, but I have applied to almost three times that number.

They are out there. Just keep at it.

I had the same issue with a lot. I mainly use Amazon, but also use linkshare and have a few there.
Good luck!

Do you have a link to your website I can check out? Have you tried applying to affiliate programs through Share-a-Sale? I've joined a few there successfully so far (they originally rejected me because I had barely built my site when I first applied).

Hey! Thank you for reaching out...

My website is mytradesandgoods.com I have posted links from Amazon but they seem pseudo. Please feel free to check it out. I look forward to your assessment.

I have never heard of Share-a-Sale but I will check them out.

I work with Awin.com and we are the network that acquired ShareASale.com. I can help you join either or both of those networks.

I reviewed your site and wondered what type of products or services you intended to promote. Perhaps we can identify some merchants for you right now.

Good morning: )

I applied to Awin and it is their affiliates that are turning me down. I decided to give it a break and to continue to build my brand then, maybe I will begin to utilize them again. However, ShareASale is an affiliate partner I was considering joining until I read your message- Awin is ShareASale? I think I will pass on this one.

I did not realize how sensitive you can be when you are building a brand (business). I feel so fragile right now so I have to let it go...

I hope your day is starting out bright!

Peace~

ShareASale is not Awin - Awin just owns ShareASale but each network has their own guidelines.

So if I understand correctly, you were accepted by Awin.com, but then individual merchants have declined your application. Each merchant has their own guidelines as well as to what they do or do not accept.

I would be happy to take a look at your site and give you some insights into what the merchants are looking for.

Don't feel fragile! It's honestly part of the process, and you are doing just fine. This is simply one more lesson along the path to your success. Look for my PM.

Hey, good morning!

Will do and thanks for the clarity and encouragement. I look forward to what you have to share.
